"Great staff, nice sea view "

"If you're looking for a true Fijian experience, picturesque scenery and you want to just relax and soak it all in, this is your spot. It's atmosphere is super calming and welcoming from the first minute. But it's not for everyone as it's not a resort. Think about it more like camping. The accommodation is simple and spacious. Yes, the bathroom is "a bit scary" (that's how our 5 years old described it :-) but you don't need much there. The meals are traditional Fijian. Very tasty and plenty for everyone. Tab water wasn't potable during our stay so we had to purchase bottled water. They also provided drinking water and fresh juices with meals. Staff are wonderful. Great snorkelling right off the beach. We rented a kayak ($50 fjd) to go around the island. It was a good 3 hours paddle. Worth the effort as the scenery is beautiful and there are nice swim spots along the shore. Cell coverage was available only on the beach. We didn't inquire about wifi but I believe they offer paid wifi by the main building. Electricity isn't an issue. They have solar panels and generator. We loved our 2 nights stay and wished we booked 3. We need to come back again :-) "

"-Seaside bures were so lovely and cool even though no ac or wifi, the outdoor shower was beautiful -The staff are incredibly friendly and have made us want to come back just for kuata -The food was great with mostly buffet style. Not many options if you have diet restrictions though or allergies. -The dive team was super professional and did such a good job to help us all do a shark dive, we are super thankful. -I had a bad experience at the spa so I wouldn’t recommend it. -The Fiji night, signing dancing were all apart of giving us such a great experience. -The dining outside for dinner is super cute and romantic although no options if it rains. Highly recommend. "

"This was pretty close to a perfect island vacation that I could imagine. The resort is small but we didn't get a sense of cabin fever. There are 3 pools and a nice stretch of beach with great snorkeling right there. Daily activities including snorkel by boat, guided hikes on surrounding islands, fishing, etc helped ensure there was always something to do. The food was fabulous with fine-dining experiences for dinner every night. The staff was friendly, chatting and seemed genuinely happy for us to be there while the second resort we stayed at in the Mamanuca Islands didn't have the same vibe. We hope to go back again!"

"Bula! This may have been our favorite vacation of all time, hands down. From the first moment we stepped foot on Waya island and were greeted by the welcome song of the incredible staff till the moment we tearfully left we felt cared for, appreciated, and absolutely relaxed and happy. Our check in was led by Moji, who should be the ambassador of the island if he isn’t already, he showed us to our bure which was beautiful and so clean. The outdoor private shower was incredible and we loved having our front porch to sit on at night and listen to the ocean (which was basically in our front yard). Over the course of the week we got to know a bunch of the staff, big Api, small Api, captain Jim and Mac, Ela, Sulu, Lui (restaurant) and Lui who taught us how to make bangals, Tiki who maintains the grounds, and so many more who’s names have escaped me. Every member of the staff was kind, caring, informative, friendly, and made us feel like family. The all inclusive food option was perfect, breakfast was delicious every day and had options for eggs and waffles etc and also a delicious fruit plate, lunch was light and healthy, and changed daily which also included a scrumptious dessert. (Do NOT miss those banana fritters they are killer.) Dinner was often fish with local vegetables and always included a starter and dessert as well. We loved that the food always felt (mostly) healthy and was different every day. It was also incredibly reasonably priced. Do not miss this amazing resort! "

"What a wonderful experience. Starts with a beautiful open boat ride with your host Bill and Paula from the big island to your homestay. The water is crystal clear. Keep your eyes open for fish and other marine life. Your first view of your cabin is right when the boat comes in to drop you off. Be prepared that you might get a little wet as you wade in from the boat. The cabin is very rustic but spacious and clean. There is all the bedding you need and mosquito nets over most the beds. The shower and toilet is just out the back door in seperate stalls with a light . Bill and Paula very clearly explain meal times, protocol in the 2 villages that are very walkable, what excursion are available and include you in the various village activities. They were great in answering all our questions. Meals were very generous in serving size and much of the food served was harvested from their land or the sea. You eat what they eat ,a very authentic meal experience .You take your meals up the hill to their house out on a open deck. View is beautiful. We enjoyed both the swim with mantas and night fishing.Its shallow right in front of the cabin but you can still snorkle. It is fun to walk through the village sitting out on the mats with the local people. All are so friendly and enjoyable to hear their stories. We had the priviledge of being able to attend one of their celebrations. Hospitality was great. Souvenirs are available which support locals. Hard to leave new friends. "
