"I booked my group at Lallgargh Palace after my reservation Laxmi Niswas Palace was cancelled. Although they are located on the same Heritage Property complex, they are not comparable . The staff at Lallgargh are on par with a Travel Lodge. The breakfast and dinner buffets were reminiscent of an offering at a school cafeteria. Although the rooms are enormous, the pictures don't show chipping paint, leaking pipes. and torn furniture. It was a disappointment at every level. "

"The property has the Royal look and feel however the property can be better maintained. We had deal with a tripping fuse for our room. We lost electricity in our room 4 times in 40’minutes. It only was sustainable after they reduced the heater load and we spent the night in a colder room."

"Nice location, we didn't stay to visit the city, but just the Karni Mata (rat) temple. So we didn't concentrate on locating ourself in the touristy area. The restaurant and bar downstairs was very convenient. They gave us a really big room with a huge terrace. Was very happy with their service as they arranged a driver to go to the temple. Would stay again next time!"

"Staying at Basant Vihar was the worst experience and staff was rude and not at all co-operative. The breakfast menu was pathetic with no variety and Aloo Bhaji served was of previous day and smelling. When I complained to co-ordinator & manager, there was no polite response from him. After multiple calls, no water was served in the room. I won't recommend this hotel who do not value customer service."

"We stayed for 4 days compared with most peoples one or two and were impressed with the service alongside the interior of this extraordinary historic hotel. Only faults were 1 plumbing problem - so we were moved and had the chance to enjoy an alternative glorious room ( all unique). And the evening dinner was rather bland whenever a foreign group stayed the night. Otherwise excellent and in the heart of the old city."
