Comfortable room with African decoration
Excellent stay in a beautiful room with African decoration and all required amenities, and a nice view on a park. Service is very effective and reliable. No bad surprise. Nairobi is not a town where you would walk freely in the streets, so the location is OK. I will come back.

Well located.
Its good because it's close to everything else. But they need to upgrade the hotel as it's 1990's style and I don't think they did anything since then to maintain it. It looks like now they are doing some upgrades.

Poor quality of service
The room condition was very poor, too old and some utilities were not functioning. The prize did not match the level, and quality of the hotel. I waited the shuttle for more than an hour. Surprisingly, when I called the Hotel and asked if they have a free shuttle they confirmed for me that they have a free shuttle & breakfast, and later when I was checking out they asked me $50 for the shuttle.

An OK hotel in the city centre overlooking a park
Traffic congestion from the airport turned a 15 minute journey into a 1hour journey. On arrival the hotel looked great from the outside, checking in was a bit slow but Jill's smile made me feel welcome. Rooms was ok but need a bit of modernising... If you stay here, ask for a room overlooking the park.. Lovely view Check out was equally slow.. Got help up for 30 min as they awaited to receive my payment from Expedia... It's an Ok hotel to stay in if you are on visiting Nairobi

Breakfast could be better, not bad, but not top. People are friendly. The boring music in the elevator is a bit annoying (minor thing). Seems like big portions of the rooms are imunser renovation (September 2014).

Very disappointing evening meal in the Atrium. Waited 40 minutes for a calamari starter. Walked out. Second evening dinner in the Terrace, Steak Evening, was best steak meal I have ever had. I gave 3 business presentations and couldn't fault the organisation.

A good (not great) hotel that shows its age
The hotel is a decent one but is showing its age. There are lots of little signs of age in the rooms, but it isn't a bad place to stay. The food is good and the people are friendly. It is still reasonably priced. I was in two rooms and in neither one did the airconditioning work well. That was a big disappointment.

Clean and extra nice service
Was a bit weary after an unpleasant experience staying at another hotel in Nairobi but was pleasantly surprised when on arrival here, the concierge took my bags immediately on arrival and I was ushered to the reception- welcomed there with a nice hand towel and glass of water (how did they know?!). Anyway, everyone seemed to really know what they were doing and filled their role happily. From the well-equipped business center to the delish restaurants conveniently opened til late, I was very happy with the stay. The rooms are, naturally a bit older as the hotel is old too but they've tried to maintain it with nice linen, accessories and kept it very clean. The final cherry on the pie is LOCATION. Being so central to town (yet not quite IN town but the outskirts-which is nice) and on the major highway (Uhuru highway) makes it convenient to access the airport, go to Westlands and really most other places from a central point. Will definitely stay again!
