With its twist on classic modern style and amenities and amazing proximity to the ocean, Wright Play (Formerly The Bodie Island) has a style all its own. Reunite family and friends for that perfect beach escape. Wright Play features 8 En Suites, with bedding configuration for up to 22 and a maximum occupancy of 16.

Wright Play is destined to become a crowd favorite with its beachfront location, style, comfort and spacious bedrooms. Upscale decor and colors. Perfect for family reunions, vacations, small corporate retreats. After seeing this ultimately exceptional Nags Head property, your hearts will simply belong here.

This premier vacation property boasts over 5,400 square feet of under the roof area with 8 well-appointed En Suites, 8 full baths and 1 half bath. Common areas on each level, it's never difficult to find either a group activity or a bit of solitude.

The third level is the showpiece of the home. Featuring the panoramic ocean views throughout the entire great room, the group will surely spend many hours here socializing and relaxing. A large sectional sofa and additional chair greet you in the living area. An interior oceanfront lounge seats an additional four. The exterior oceanfront lounge can host up to 5. The sleek and modern white kitchen has two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and a built-in oven and microwave. Seating for 5 at the center island rounds out this third level.

The outdoor pool area will surely bring many hours of smiles and shared memories. Here you will enjoy your 12 x 25 inground pool, a hot tub for 6, a grill area and a semi-private boardwalk to the beach featuring a deck over the dunes!

Wright Play is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! You can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only. The pet fee of $135 is waived for this property. Pets stay free!

This property has 6 parking spots for guests.

Want added comfort? Consider adding the Heated Pool option! A Heated Pool option can be added upon request for $50 per night of your reservation. This fee is added to your reservation at the time of the request, which must be a minimum of 72 hours before arrival. Pool heat must be added for the entirety of your stay.

This pool is heated by a heat pump. An ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.**

**Private heated pools will open on April 1st and close on November 1st. Hot tubs are open year-round. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6pm on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter the backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.**

**Special events are welcome at this home! For an additional fee plus tax, you and your party can host a special event. All events require approval via Event Addendum. Please contact KEES for details and arrangements for your special event reservation. Fees vary by property. Please contact Guest Services for more information.**

Great home for our leadership meeting
This home had plenty of space and was in a great location. Staff at Kees were very quick to respond to any questions or requests we had. Would definitely recommend staying if you have a large group and want plenty of space to spread out, as well as be together. We were all very happy with our stay.

The house and views from the house are stunning.
The house is built for ease of stay and is perfect for a large group. Each ample sized bedroom has its own bath, which makes it really comfortable for all guests. The top floor kitchen/living area is wonderful and is set up so multiple groups can converse in different gathering spaces. Wonderful vacation rental...will definitely book again.

Great place for for business retreat!
We had 11 people and 2 dogs stay for our annual planning retreat and needed 8 bedrooms w/its own bathroom. We had plenty of room to sit as a group at the kitchen table as well as in the main living area. The 2 separate living areas and nook on the 2nd floor were perfect to break out in small groups. Kitchen was well stocked with plates and glassware. We were surprised to find no ice maker in any of the refrigerators, however, the grocery store was close by. We would definitely stay here again!

The property is really beautiful. Really well appointed with all the extras anyone would need. There was a communication problem regarding the AC on the first floor and one of the dryers not working but was resolved in a timely manner after speaking with someone ( don’t rely on the texting service).

Beautiful house in a lovely location
The house is everything advertised. The location we great. Nags Head has enough to do if you wanted to but not too busy for those who wanted a more peaceful location. Some days if almost felt like we had the beach almost to ourselves. Had 14 people here for 6 days and never did we feel on top of each other or too far away from each other. Would highly recommend for anyone.

Pristine property. No detail left undone. Everything was thoughtfully considered in the home and the KEES management company made it feel more like a vacation than just living in your own house at the beach. We will be back for sure!!!

Very nice home. We arrived late after a long day of driving and 4 of 8 beds were missing fitted sheets. It took a couple of days to get sheets but we did eventually. There was not a shower to rinse off after the beach which leads to more sand in the house but there was not a broom. There was no soap for washing hands in most of the bathrooms either. The kitchen island had sand on it and the dresser draws had sand in them as well.The mgmt did address the sheets and brought a broom so it was resolved relatively quickly. Overall a beautiful house in a great location.

Convenient location and great layout. House surfaces and floors were cleaned but all furniture and rugs needed professional cleaning. House was poorly stocked as well. No broom, no dish cloths, 10 spoons when advertised for 16 people, no potholders, etc..Freezer did not work, techs called and could not get to optimum freezing temperature. Only half of the tvs worked and internet signal was poor despite having techs come out and troubleshoot. Some shower dispensers were empty and wash machine had mildew all around door seal. Overall, nice house and location , but poorly maintained.

My guests and enjoyed this house very much.
Things I would improve: (1) heat the pool for the guests and dare to make their experience more enjoyable, (2) provide beach chairs instead of the Kees tent as this is insufficient to share with other homes and their guests, (3) lower the temperature on the entry floor as it was much warmer (almost too warm) than the rest of the house, (4) 3 of my guests on the 2nd floor mentioned their bed was vibrating—you should check to confirm or fix, and (5) we only received fresh towel service on 1 of 4 days and it should have been at least 2 days

This is a very nice place. There was lots of room for everyone to hangout. More than enough refrigerators. The only negative for me is there should be another oven during Thanksgiving you need 2. The top floor Master bath ceiling looks like it maybe molding. Tight parking if you and the neighbors have more than 4 and all are Suv's. I would rent this again, great access to the beach, nice view.

We all had a fantastic time, the house has great space for large groups and the elevator came in handy for luggage and groceries. The floors weren’t as clean as they could have been, and although the kitchen was well equipped, it didn’t have dish towels or pot holders. Not a game changer, but it would have been nice to know so we could have brought them.

Great house & location! Convenient to stores, shops & restaurants. Walking distance to neighborhood businesses & short drive to grocery store & other places. House accommodated our group of 16 perfectly. Housekeeping could have better. When we arrived we didn’t have a clear view of the ocean, which is why we booked ocean front. After requesting window washing & deck cleaning we decided to do it ourselves. Other than that, housekeeping brought new towels daily & emptied common area trash, etc. Cabana service was awesome on the beautiful beach! Great time had by ALL!!!

This home was perfect for a large family. The views were amazing and the kitchen was perfect with double refrigerators and dishwashers. The wifi wasn't that great for a house that size and for the amount of people that fit in the house. Also, the TV channels were extremely limited. Lastly, the fireplace didn't work and the windows weren't clean so that took away from the view at times. However, neither of those minor complaints would stop me from visiting this beautiful property again.

Renter Beware
Worst renter experience. As soon as we arrived, house had toxic chemical and “wet dog” smell. Carpets on stairs and rug were sopping wet. They claimed that they steam cleaned that day and was not dried because we checked in early, but we checked about 30 minutes before 4pm. They said carpets/rug should be dried within 2-3 hours but remained wet through next day. Rug smelled so nauseating that we had to physically remove it to deck. Another major problem was no internet/ WIFI for almost 3 days. They attempted to resolve it, but vacation was disrupted because we were house-bound with various workers/housekeeping/etc. circulating in the house. We had to directly deal with internet service provider. Some of us had to conduct remote work so had to use hotspots resulting in being charged personally by cellphone provider. Could not watch television, any streaming platform, etc. for that time period. In the end, the router had to be replaced. Due to what we felt was a loss of 3 days of quality vacation due to the above problems, we called VRBO, who fortunately was very understanding and worked with us. Therefore, we would use VRBO again but pass on this house and KEES.

Extended Family Anniversary trip
There were 14 of us staying for my in-laws 50th Anniversary trip. We loved the easy access to the beach, the beautiful views, extra large table for family meals. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers plus a fridge on the first floor. Great for large groups! The beds were comfortable as well. Neither ice maker or the wine fridge were working when we got there. Maintenance came and fixed the morning we called. The cleaning crew is not meticulous, sand left under the couch, smears on cabinet, bathroom floors had dirt behind toilet area. We would’ve liked to have had a broom to clean up sand brought in. We found mops, dustpans and a vacuum (didn’t pick up sand well off the bare floor), but no broom. Overall, great place for a large group. Neighbors near, but couldn’t hear them.
