Classic Nags Head Style Cottage

The Mermaid's Pillow is located on NC Highway 12 in Nags Head at MP 11.25. It is directly across the street from the beach. There are 2 beach accesses nearby & it's a 3–4 minute walk to the beach.

Cottage boasts classic Nags Head style with modern amenities. Color TVs, You Tube TV & Internet. Fully appointed kitchen with electric range, microwave, refrigerator & dishwasher. Washer/dryer. Handicap accessible master bedroom & bath feature large roll-in shower with shower chair and double vanity with roll-under feature for wheelchairs. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with double vanities. Ramps front & back making for easy access. Private in-ground pool in fenced backyard. Cornhole boards are provided.

Beautiful accessible cottage!
So happy with our choice of Mermaids Cottage. Loved the location on the OBX. Central to both North and South adventures. We needed a smaller accessible property and this was perfect. The ramps and thresholds both front and back were easy for the two wheelchair users in our party. I loved the bathroom. Shower was the best I’ve ever experienced. Safe floor and didn’t flood the entire room.

Amazing cottage!!
The cottage was amazing!!! Great location and everything was spotless. The owners were fantastic to work with, and it is clear they take great pride in their beautiful home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the pool was a wonderful plus. We will definitely be returning!

Lovely Cottage!
The pictures simply do not do this lovely cottage justice. Lots of natural light throughout, great outdoor space, and only a short walk to the beach. Cottage was spotless and kitchen well equipped. Awesome stay!

Beautiful Cottage!
The Mermaid’s Pillow was in a great location, well stocked, beautifully decorated, and CLEAN! Our family truly enjoyed our vacation. The pool and short walk to the beach are always high on our list of must-haves, and this cottage delivered! If we are traveling with a smaller group again in the future, I’d definitely book again. Highly recommend!

Perfection!
What a gorgeous cottage! So much thought was put in to making this home not only gorgeous, but perfect for all ages to explore, have fun or simply relax. The nearby restaurants and beach access made getting our toes in the sand or bellies full, a cinch! Can't wait to go back!

Great place, even better location literally across the street from the beach.
House was warm and inviting, well maintained and most importantly super clean. BIG kitchen was great to cook in. Bedrooms and bathrooms were great size and so nice. Outside was awesome with the pool being so refreshing and the outdoor shower coming in handy when you spend those long days at the beach. Overall we give it a 10 great vacation and place to stay.

Another Amazing Stay!!
This is hands down our favorite time of the year...when we get to stay as a family in this beautiful home! The location is perfect and convenient to get everywhere we need to go, the space is clean, sleek, and beautiful! Wonderful Property
This house has everything you could ever want. It was so clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The location is so convenient to restaurants, night spots as well as the beach. We were just a little too early to enjoy the pool, but the weather was beautiful so we took advantage of the beach instead. I highly recommend this home for your next beach trip!

Perfect beach vacation!
The house is exactly as advertised. Barely a 4-minute walk to the beach. I walked my cup of coffee down to the sunrise every morning. Centrally located to visit lighthouses, Pea Island, The Wright Brothers Memorial…. Also close to great restaurants (AND the kitchen is fully equipped), grocery stores, a great kids park…. We truly had a great time and will be back! House was just right for our beach getaway.

Brand new and BEAUTIFUL beach cottage!
This cottage is perfect for your beach vacation. Not one detail was missed both inside and out. The bathrooms and living spaces are beautiful and decorated with such beach style. The pool is the perfect getaway from the beach, but the beach is just steps away. There are also many options for dining in walking distance, which makes the location perfect.
