Aloha and welcome to Halawai ( the point where heaven and earth meet), a Sanctuary Oasis on the road to Magical Green Sands Beach in Naalehu, HI. We are located half way between Hilo and Kona on a 3 acre peaceful sanctuary in mystical South Point, Na'alehu Hawaii. This is a great place to have as a base when touring the Southern part of the island. You will love my home, It's bright, clean, comfortable, cheery and filled with Aloha Spirit! Your rental is an entire beautiful, 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment located on the upper floor. There is a grand outdoor staircase to access the upper floor, where you pass through your own private huge Lanai (an outside covered verandah) to relax on and enjoy the herb and flower garden below. You enter the sliding door to a cheery room full of light, good energy, Hawaiian art and colors. For your comfort there is a full kitchen, with cooking and bakeware, an island, stove, microwave, and refrigerator, coffee, tea, creamer, honey, fruit etc. There are also condiments, rice and salad dressings etc in the refrigerator for your useage. The bedroom has a new queen sized memory foam mattress to relax and dream in peaceful ease. The adjoining bath is newly remodeled and stylish, well appointed, and comfortable with bathtub and shower. There is a full size futon sofa if extra sleeping arrangements are needed. For those with chemical sensitivities. We clean with non-toxic old fashioned cleaners and essential oils only. All bedding, mattress are pristinely maintained and pillows and mattress have triple encasement for ultimate cleanliness and comfort. South Point in Hawaiian is known as "Ka Lae" which means "The Point", as its the southern most point of the Hawaiian Kingdom and the whole United States! No light pollution makes for FANTASTIC FOR STAR WATCHING UNDER THE MILKY WAY AND SOUTHERN CROSS!!! South Point is the very place where the first sea faring Polynesians (Hawaiians) came ashore so long ago and the region where the mightiest warrior, King Kamehameha trained in the Hawaiian arts. The land has strong Mana! (energy) On the way to Green Sands Beach you can still see remains of the rock hale's (houses) and stone Heiau's (temples) of these Ancient Hawaiian's. Our Neighborhood (South Point Road) is full of farms growing Macadamia nuts, coffee, and various other offerings. There are 2 first rate quaint coffee shop's in Naalehu to enjoy outstanding Ka'u regional coffee.
