Recently renovated and updated, this is a charming historic townhouse, called the Avery Suite, with modern luxuries in downtown Mystic. Our home is perfect for families, friends and foodies. The first floor layout was designed with gatherings in mind. From the chef's kitchen and ample dining area to the family room, the space flows to the private patio in back. Whether preparing your own meal on the grill, in the oven, or picking up take out from the many restaurants in town, it's the perfect inside/outside entertaining space!
Sure, we're biased. But this townhouse has the best of both worlds: sunlit indoor rooms, meticulously restored and furnished to embrace its history with a funky twist. The aforementioned outdoor space is perfect for entertaining, reading, working or just lying around....You decide whether you want sun or shade! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the basics and equipment you need - we provide those little "essentials" like a coffee maker and blender/juicer, coffee, tea, creamer along with condiments and basics. There are three bedrooms and with two full bathrooms located on the 2nd floor. The 3rd Bedroom was inspired by the Mates cabin in the famous Charles W. Morgan at the Seaport. The entire home has high speed WIFI access and smart TVs in every room for your Netflix/Prime Video and other subscription accounts. Also there is an Amazon Alexa/Sonos system. The family and dining rooms are spacious and cozy, and a great place to enjoy gathering with family and friends. After dinner take a short walk (3-5 minutes) downtown for the "best ice cream in CT" or see the famous Mystic River Bascule drawbridge, which opens every 40 minutes on the hour in the summer months.
This Historic home has been renovated to be two, spacious, side by side townhouses. This townhouse is called the Avery Suite. Each townhouse has 3 bedrooms, 2 full Bathrooms, and outside space. Our guests have complete and exclusive access to their own townhouse and outside space. There are no shared spaces.
Guests will be provided with my cellphone contact. We are always available for guests.
Our location is incredibly well-suited to the quintessential Mystic experience. The historic downtown is a few blocks away and the wonderful Mystic Seaport is less then a 15 minute walk. We're so close to Mystic Pizza (from the Julia Roberts movie Pretty Woman) you can pick up a few pies and enjoy them back home before the cheese stops bubbling! Then there's the Mystic Aquarium, the diner, and a handful of things to see, do, eat, and drink. We share detailed recommendations and favorite picks with guests upon booking.
We have parking for three cars in the parking area, plus on street availability. Getting around is easy, as we are just a short walk or brief drive from everything in town!

All bedrooms and full bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor. Guests must climb stairs. There is ample parking in our parking lot on the south side of our building.
There are two side by side townhouses. They each have their own listing. There is a third listing for the entire house and all outside spaces. The entrance to this, The Avery Suite, is located on Church Street.
The most important House Rule is, respect our neighbors and community. Mystic is a quaint, coastal New England town. As hosts, and guests, we share in the responsibility of keeping Mystic a great place to visit, and to LIVE. Honor the noise ordinance. Be the guest that you would want staying in a vacation rental near your home.
If you park on Church Street, please do not block our neighbor's driveway.
If you have chosen our home for a special occasion and plan on having a gathering with family & friends. Please respect our neighbors and our house. Our maximum guest policy is 7 adults. As a matter of local health, safety & parking guidelines, any prolonged gathering of more than 7 adults is prohibited unless approved PRIOR to booking. If you plan on being outdoors you must reduce volume. Respect our neighbor's right to Quiet Enjoyment.
We do allow small gatherings, however, we expect our guests to be respectful of our neighbors. Please be mindful of the volume and timing of any events or gatherings. More importantly, enjoy yourselves and allow our neighbors to enjoy their time as well.
There is absolutely NO smoking inside the house.
While we welcome pets at all of our properties, we expect this amenity to be used responsibly. Please do NOT allow pets on furniture, especially beds. Also, do not allow pets to soil or stain carpets or floors.
Fireplaces are NOT functional. They are for aesthetics and must not be used.
