Everything was perfect, absolutely perfect but customer service at the front desk not so much.
Everything was perfect so much so, we wanted to extend our stay. The customer service at the front desk was amazingly very unprofessional and not at all empathetic. I was told we could not extend our stay because their computer was down and we would have to check out. I asked since we were only extending one day could we pay in cash and they could put it in when their issue was resolved. I was told no that they were completely down, they weren’t taken any extensions or checking anyone in and had turned on their no vacancy sign. We were told we would be given an extra hour to check out due to the inconvenience. I advised this was my 3rd stay here, I have 2 rooms and my whole family which included a 3 month old, 3 other kids and my handicapped fiancé so it wouldn’t be that easy. We were advised that’s why we given the extra hour and we would have to find somewhere else to stay. Although very upset, I headed back to my room to start packing. In the elevator, there were new guest. I asked did they check in online due to the computer issue and was advised, they were manually check in. I was fuming but went to my online check in email and emailed the Host. Within the next 30 minutes, I was emailed back advising the computer was back up and to come immediately to extend my stay. I hate to jump to conclusions but still questioning the reason we were treated that way. I could have been told “ma’am once the systems are up we will contact you” and I would have been satisfied, just knowing they were trying but to be told a straight out NO and to leave, you have an extra hour is unacceptable.
