Perfect little spot in the heart of the Redwoods!
"We had a great stay! The place was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. It was a short drive to the breathtaking redwoods and conveniently located near downtown Miranda, where we found a small country store with essentials. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!"

In the 1920s, the remaining towering Giant Redwood trees were threatened by logging. Its champions brought H.D. Rockefeller to visit, who was impressed enough to help the state of California buy this particularly thick stand of the world's tallest trees from the logging company that owned it. These trees live so long because, for one thing, they can withstand millennia of fires. Their lower bark is thick and has little pitch, and the nearest needles can be hundreds of feet up in the air where fire can't reach them!
