River House Apartment in the Redwoods
Enjoy the Eel River with private access and views, nestled in the Redwoods of Humboldt County. You and your family can enjoy hiking, swimming, canoeing, or just relaxing in this Humboldt haven, fifteen minutes from highway 101, and the town of Miranda which offers restaurants, shopping, coffee shops and fuel. This is the downstairs apartment of a two unit building, the apt is below the upstairs apt and deck, with a shared parking area and outdoor spaces. There may be other guests or residents in the upstairs apartment during your stay. For river access, pass the cabin in the yard to the left of it, and you will find a trail going down to the river with a sitting area and boats. Summer and fall are the best times to enjoy the river, but it can be dangerous in the winter when the rains come and it gets high

Off grid getaway tucked deep in the redwoods— arrival itself is an adventure. The apartment is a quiet, peaceful nook with an eclectic touch. The grounds are highly explorable and our pup had a wonderful time. Wondering around and waking up next to the rushing Eel River was a beautiful experience. Great place to stay if your goal is to disconnect for a while. 10/10 will return.
We stayed in a lower 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment under a larger house. The inside was very clean, orginzed, and was well stocked for us. I knew we were going to be a ways from town and people which is what we like. This place meet those expectations. You have to driven on a dirt road for several miles to get to this location. The owner does rent a larger house above the one we stayed in. When you drive to the unit keep an eye out for wild animals. We saw a buck deer, quail with little ones, and a wild turkey.
The big issue we had was that there were people staying above us with a small child who liked to run from one side of the house to the other frequently. We could hear every step, conversations, and anytime they moved furniture. It was loud. At night after they went to bed it was very quiet and peaceful, but early in the morning the noise of running and adults just walking would wake us up.
