"Rooms were relatively comfortable. Poor insulation meant noise from adjoining rooms resulted in difficulty getting to sleep. Meal in restaurant was good and service there was excellent. Stayed here once before but doubt we will return again."

"The Nelson is a great place to stay. Right in the middle of the main strip close to beaches ports and all the amenities and restaurants. The hotel it self is extremely well appointed and the staff are credit to the management. I highly recommend this hotel for any one staying in Nelson bay"

"Overnight Saturday stay. Pub hotel accommodation is what it is. Bed linen fresh and clean. Rooms not air conditioned (missed that on the info). Bathroom facilities good. Staff very friendly and Saturday pub meal was adequate. If staying Saturday night be aware live band until 11:30pm. All in all a good stay and lovely location (Stroud) to wake up in. "

"We all had an amazing stay at this property and everyone enjoyed their stay. We could not fault the cleanliness and abundance of kitchen dishes and cutlery etc. We enjoyed the peaceful nights and stargazing, They should probably check the doors as some of them do not close easily and need adjustments, otherwise we all had a enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay."

"We booked a two room suite and it was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant meals were delicious and we had a room service breakfast delivered. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nice pool and the motel was situated in a nice area. Overall a lovely stay."

We had a great weekend...

"This place is a great stay for families and groups of friends... The inside of the property was spotlessly clean, the beds are comfy and there's more than enough things to keep both the small kids and the big kids entertained... The only minor niggle would be the cleanliness of some of the outside futnature. The hammocks coukd definitely do with a wash. And i know you cant stop birsd pooing, but i dont think some of it has been cleaned off the cushions and outside areas on the veranders for a very long time. Not good when theres young children staying. Woukd we stay again...? Yes."
