Cozy Lake Michigan Cottage Winter Retreat

Perfect winter time escape! For a perfect winter vacation, Curl up with a book or movie while enjoying the lake view, go to the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex for ice skating, cross country skiing, sledding hills, luging and hockey. Find Secret Lake on a winter walk through the wood at Muskegon State Park. Prepare a meal or bake with our well equipped kitchen, don't forget the hot coco!

THE SETTING
The pristine shores of Lake Michigan. Sunshine, soft sand, warm air, the light droning sound of boats on the water. You enjoyed swimming, boating, bicycling, reading, walking the dog, the amusement park or just relaxing earlier that day. You're sitting on your provided beach chair watching the magnificent sunset with your beverage of choice. You start to smell a smoky aroma, but you cannot tell if it is the grill or a bonfire on top of the bluff; to your delight it is both! After you enjoy some time by the fire, playing board games, or watching a movie you fall into your comfortable bed. You smile as you sleep knowing tomorrow is another lake day.

OUR PROPERTY
Everything you need for the perfect vacation on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Private & newly renovated two bedroom cottage on Lake Michigan in between North Muskegon and Whitehall. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, and the smaller bedroom has bunk beds. The sofa in the living room converts to a full size bed.
Cottage is fully furnished, with all the ammenities you will ever need to cook a meal, make your morning coffee, grill out, sleep well (linens), and enjoy the beach (towels and beach chairs)! Board games, Cable TV, and books are provided as well.
For those hot summer days we have central Air Conditioning! Make sure your vacation goes off without a hitch, we have a generator incase a thunder storm knocks out the power!

THE AREA
We are just minutes away from Whitehall, which offers quaint shopping, an extensive bicycle trail, and many dining choices. We are walking distance to the Red Rooster Tavern, and also just a short distance from Michigan's Adventure amusement park, and Whitehall Lighthouse and Museum, Muskegon State Park and Winter Sports Complex. And of course right on the Lake!

Awesome property sits nicely on the beautiful private sandy beach of Lake Michigan. About 30 steps to the beach and property came with plenty of beach chairs and fire pits. Booking, payment process and access to the property was flawless and enjoyed the stay.

This location was just as described and better. The beach was easily accessible and private and just what we were hoping to find. We enjoyed the week with lots of sunshine and even when it was a little chilly, it was still enjoyable. The host is very good to work with, we loved our stay!

Had a lovely stay at this property. Had the best location, steps from the beach! The beach felt extremely private & barely saw any one else using it. Felt like we had it to ourselves - so wonderful! Also a great place to let our dogs run and enjoy the lake. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing / secluded stay. Would come again!

A perfect place
We always take a couple days at a new beach house every year, and this one was easily one of the best. Very clean & comfortable, the listing doesn't do it justice. Beautiful view, and easy to get to beach. Plus there's plenty to do in the area! Highly recommended!

Long weekend getaway
Nice cottage, very clean. Perfect location on the beach. I couldn’t have asked for a better beach. If anything, the stairs to the beach are very steep, but were ok for us. Any needs were quickly responded to. I would stay again.

A quiet getaway for the weekend
This was quite honestly the most lovely get away spot for a quiet weekend on Lake Michigan I've visited. Private beach, private drive, and all the amenities needed. While the neighbors are very close, everyone was polite and quiet and it wasn't a disturbance to our weekend whatsoever. We can't wait to to return with our kids, for a beach weekend in the summer. Thank you for the great weekend :)

Quiet and peaceful property. Home has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Did not give it 5 stars as the queen bed sinks in the middle and sleep quality was poor. Other than that we enjoyed the property and the beach.

Excellent home away from home.
The home was just as described! Stocked well with accessories you may need throughout your stay. The view was better than expected. My only recommendation would be to cut some of the shrub back that is growing on the patio. It is starting to block the entry onto the patio.

Wanted to enjoy the beach and nearby live music and this didn't disappoint! The pictures do not show the updated stairs to the beach, they were perfect. The deck on the stairs was perfect for those that want the view without the sand. House is located between Muskegon and Monteque which made traveling to see 3 different music performances easy. Host answered questions quickly and provided area recommendations, which we always enjoy.

Perfect Family Getaway
This was a great location to stay when you are looking to get away. The cabin has pretty much everything you would need. And the pictures on the site don't do it justice! It was even better than we expected. The staircase down to the beach (which I assume was updated very recently) was such a great upgrade to what was pictured. The beach itself is very private and very clean. We were really impressed! It is honestly better than some locations in the OBX which we've stayed at over the years. We are definitely planning on coming back to this area for sure!

We loved the cabin. Unfortunately it was cold and rainy our whole stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the property other than having a coffee on the landing to the beach stairs the day we left. Very clean and cute. Only thing we would change is the mattress and pillows in the master bedroom. We had a hard time sleeping as the mattress was so soft in the middle and pillows were super hard. Would happily rent again!
