Great place to stay. The check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The place was super clean and decorated for fall. Loved the binder that had information on what to do and where to eat in the area
This home exactly fit our needs. It’s very comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated, and supplied with everything needed. We enjoyed the back outdoor space and loved the short drive to the beach.
We were very impressed with this home. There are many reasons why I give this rental top marks. First, it was immaculately clean. I use vacation rentals frequently and carefully read reviews so, most I stay in are clean. But, this house stands out for it’s pristine cleanliness. Second, all the items provided for use during your stay. We just kept coming across more and more things they provided that you might need. It was truly remarkable. Third, the decor is thoughtful and up to date with everything in excellent condition. I would highly recommend this property!
Brenda was the best host. The house was equipped with just about anything we would have needed to make our stay comfortable and was beautifully decorated.I would not hesitate to book one of her properties.
This is our second stay in Muskegon and specifically our second stay at one of Brenda’s properties. We had an incredible vacation! We took the dogs to the beach every day since it was so close, followed by grilling and exploring the area. The house was beautiful and fully stocked with everything we needed, and she even provided extra for the dogs so they would feel comfortable. We will be booking again!
Great location and a well thought out details! We appreciated all of the extra little touches that made this our home away from home for our annual family vacation!
We stayed here for our son‘s wedding along with some family. The house was absolutely beautiful, just as described with beautiful artwork, new furniture and appliances, lots of amenities, a well appointed kitchen and beautiful yard with lots of furniture and a fire pit. Overall, the experience was excellent. We have stayed in several VRBO homes and this was by far the nicest place we’ve been in. We would highly recommend this property. It was also close to the historic downtown area and the nature walk, which is a great place to go for a walk or a run, as well has Lake Michigan.
This was the second time we’ve stayed in this house and we were not disappointed! It’s really nicely appointed with all of the conveniences including a big yard, lots of linens, towels, and fully stocked kitchen. It’s a quiet neighborhood and easily accessible to Pere Marquette and other attractions around the Muskegon area. We will definitely continue to stay there in future years!
We come to visit family. This is close to our family and favorite beach. It’s an old house that has been nicely renovated. Well stocked. Tastefully decorated. Nice yard. It worked for my husband, our adult son and I.
Everything about this place is exactly as in the listing - very clean, nicely decorated, everything you need is included. We loved using the beach chairs and beach umbrella, the yard was lovely and perfect for our dog and us to hang outside, and it was great to have the shed to keep our bikes in. Love that it was dog friendly and the host provides furniture covers as well and other dog accessories! Would highly recommend this home! Only negative was also mentioned in a previous review, the beds are very firm.
My whole family was impressed with the house. We come to the area a few times a year and this place was at the top of our list of places we have stayed. Our host had thought of everything you might need on vacation. The house was well stocked with all the amenities you may need . We were 1 mile from the dog beach for our furry family members and with multiple places to eat and drink within a short distance the house was a great location. Look forward to a return visit soon.
This is one of the best houses we’ve stayed in. So cute, well-kept and clean, all the details tended to, and we could bring the dogs along! I think even non-pet-owners would agree that the place is clean and fresh. We had fun playing games (in good condition), and the snacks were an exciting find for our teens. We brought sound machines which helped with sleeping as the floors are creaky and the doors stick. Communications with the host were prompt and helpful. It’s probably the nicest house on the block, but in a family neighborhood that felt safe. We are already trying to come up with reasons to return. We really enjoyed our stay!
This house was the perfect size for our family. The downstairs was great for our two toddlers with two twin beds and a queen for us. My parents had their own space on the main floor. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. *Bonus- Toys, games, and books that our kids loved!!! We really enjoyed the firepit, game shed, and front porch for reading. The beach was only 5 mins away and we enjoyed taking our dog to the Kruse dog beach. Highly recommend Lewis Farms for kids, so much for the kids to do. The Frosty Cove was a close bike ride for our ice cream treats. We really enjoyed all the restaurants, putt-putt, submarine tour, boat cruise, and duck pin bowling. This has been our favorite house and spot in MI so far! Thank you for a wonderful summer vacation!
Great little house, layout, furniture all very nice.
I really liked the front porch where I could sit in the morning and drink coffee. House was extremely clean, everything worked and I have never stayed in another rental that was as well supplied. Anything you forgot to bring Brenda has you covered, anything.
Nice backyard for kids, lp grill and fire pit are a nice touch older quiet neighborhood.
Our first time in Muskegon was a pleasant surprise not knowing what to expect. Clean city, well landscaped very walkable and many beautiful old buildings to visit. The city and surrounding area offered way more entertainment opportunities than we could take advantage of during our four night stay.
It was a delight for my Mom, me and my two chihuahuas to stay at this property. The bungalow was extremely clean and the fenced in back yard was an added plus. The renovation of the bungalow was very well done and everything was well stocked. The air conditioning was fantastic as it was a very hot and humid week in July! We wanted to explore the Lake Michigan beaches nearby and were not disappointed! We especially enjoyed Muskegon State Park’s beach. The only suggestion I would make is to add curtains to the kitchen window. The house next door is close by and curtains would allow for more privacy. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Beautiful, spotless property. Probably the cleanest, best stocked VRBO we have ever stayed at - and we've stayed at lots! Everything you could want, great sets of dishes, glasses, really nice pots and pans for cooking. Our downstairs bathroom had 8 sets of towels. It was wonderful! Backyard is very private and there was even a pile of wood for the fire pit. The patio is very nice with lots of seating and end tables for drinks and food. I loved the little screened in front porch. The book with recommendations for local restaurants and tourist venues was really helpful.
It sounds like a small thing, but the toys that were mentioned in the description were full sets of things for our granddaughter to play with. So often, the "toys" they mention in other rentals are just a pile of plastic pieces, but this VRBO had whole sets of toys (like a wooden train set) with all the pieces. Very much appreciated.
We like Muskegon and I see Brenda has multiple properties - when we come back we are going to book with her. Highly recommend!
The host was quick to respond; the house was not only super clean but the in house informational book was very helpful and easy to navigate. All in all - the most welcoming place to stay for area sight-seeing. Loved it! Thanks BrendaElaine
