"I benchmark a 5 star experience against chains like the Peninsula. This was a total surprise. Ski weekend and this hotel is perfect. The staff is all in sync and have consistent, excellent professionalism and are just nice people. So many conveniences here for skiers. Right at a chair lift. On site ski rental. Parking. Shuttle. I actually liked the hotel food!!! Nice bar. It really surprised me. The only thing i could possibly critique is the room.doors are not totally soundproof but we didnt have any problems. Will stay again."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Rural Alfajia de Antonio. We spent 3 nights, two couples traveling together. Our rooms were beautiful and the common areas were wonderful to spend time in. We ate delicious food and took some spectacular hikes. Alberto was very warm and made us feel so welcome and at home. He also gave us really helpful advice. This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Spain!"

"Our stay in the cave house was truly wonderful! The property is fully equipped with all we needed as a family with 3 children and the cleanliness is outstanding. The outdoor space and the pool, along with the magnificent views, ensured for a relaxing break. Communication with the host was easy and questions dealt with swiftly. Our late arrival was no trouble with clear directions provided. A car is needed (great car rental firm recommended by the host), allowing access to many of the beautiful sites of Andalusia. A truly excellent place to stay in."

"We had a great week here, the house has everything you need, set in beautiful gardens and with amazing views. Peter is a lovely host. We would definitely recommend this place and would love come back some day. Orgiva is a very friendly town. We would recommend Baraka and Pizza N Love for food and also Nur Bakery for bread and amazing cakes"

"Loved the house. The garden is magical and the pool stunning, lots of lovely places to sit and eat outside. I especially liked my room at the end with the onsuite bathroom, gorgeous decor and tiles. Only one issue which is the 2 central bedrooms were abit too hot at night, aircon in those would really help.. would book again. Maybe the dark blue doesn’t help? "

"My husband, son aged 14 and daughter aged 12 stayed at Sigi’s place for 14 nights. The setting is beautiful. The villa itself is simple and very stylish with everything you need. The pool is definitely the best pool we have ever had with the most amazing picture perfect backdrop. The children spent hours in it playing volleyball. During our stay we did ‘El Caminito del Rey’ which was a great experience but it’s a bit of a drive (2 hours). Closer by and definitely not to be missed, is the Alhambra and the Albaicín area of Granada. We also went horse riding locally and did a sunset hike. Both great experiences. Sigi’s place is a lovely to get away from it all. We didn’t really venture into Órgiva town centre much other than to get groceries as BBQing at the villa was so lovely. There are some picturesque little villages to visit which are only a 25 min drive away. Sigi is a great host and responds quickly! Barney and his wife Sarah look after the pool and garden and Clara does the cleaning. All really great and lovely to chat to 😊"

"Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The cottage, the view and especially the pool were a perfect peaceful place for us to totally relax and spend quality time in between our adventures throughout the region. The cottage felt very private because it had enough property of its own surrounding it and it is separated from the other house where other guests stay. The pool was a highlight- it was large, well maintained and although technically shared with a couple of others who may be in the other guest house, it had a designated area for us with chairs and umbrella, so it felt very much our own. Oliver and Maria were amazing hosts, responsive and very knowledgeable - willing to help with all our questions about everything local. The details in decor and care of the property are evidence of how invested they are in what they are offering their guests. Their welcome book had great recommendations for activities, food and more. I highly recommend this property for a family or other small group who either wants to stay put and enjoy all the peace it has to offer or use it as a home base for exploring the area.
