Enjoy a Glamping Safari Tent by a Private Trout Stream. Booking a stay at Hanging Dog offers full access to our exclusive Wild Trout Stream for Fly Fishing. Each Glamp Tent comes equipped with two twin beds, complete with linens, comfortable duvets, blankets, and pillows, as well as a lamp, electric fan/heater, and an electric outlet.

PLEASE NOTE: Bring your own toiletries

Enjoy a front screened porch with two deck chairs and a side table. Each tent accommodates a maximum of two guests. For larger groups, see our other listing VRBO # 2100058, which can host up to 8 guests. A bathhouse is conveniently located just a few yards away, offering separate men's and women's showers and toilets.

Relax to the sound of a rushing stream as it lulls you to sleep, and engage in star gazing and s'mores by the firepit at night. Ample firewood and kindling are provided at the camp.

The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster oven, and complimentary coffee/tea, sugar, and creamers for all guests. Utensils, plates, cups, and bowls are also available—please clean and return them after use.

Fishing is catch and release only, using non-barbed flies exclusively.

Please bring towels, paper goods, a flashlight, comfortable slippers for inside the tent.
Also consider bringing bathing suits, towels, water shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, and comfortable slippers for inside the tents.

Cooking is permitted only at the firepit; open flames or cooking inside or near tents is prohibited. Candles are not allowed inside or around tents. Tabletop propane stoves may be used only at picnic tables, not inside or near tents. Food should not be kept inside tents but stored in a cooler in your vehicle or the kitchenette.

For dining options, Hanging Dog General Store is just 1 mile away, offering breakfast, lunch, and supplies. Murphy NC, with its shops, visitor center, restaurants, breweries, pizzeria, and pubs, is only 7 miles away.

We offer fly fishing and guided trips:
- Half-day wade trip: $400 per couple.
- Learn to Fly Fish: $199.00 per person.
- Half or full-day float trip or lake fishing trip: $500-600 for 2 anglers.
The marina and lake are just 10 miles away. Blue Ridge GA is a 35-minute drive, Nantahala Gorge is 45 minutes away, Copperhill TN is 45 minutes away, and the casino is a 20-minute drive. John Campbell Folk School is 25 minutes away.

Better than expected!
My sister and I wanted a quick, secluded and affordable getaway in the mountains. This location was perfect. It was located directly next to a swift moving creek and under a clear starry sky. Even better than the location was the care and attention to details the owners provided. The tent was very clean and well cared for. The bath house appeared recently updated and not your typical camping experience. The pictures don’t do justice to the beauty of this place. We will be coming back.

The perfect hide away
This property is exactly what you see in the photos and read in the description. Our tent was feet from the trout stream and the sounds of the water at night were amazing. We slept 10 hours our first night! The accommodations are great. Towels, Linens, clean bath houses and a kitchen area that has games and all the info needed for local points of interest. We will absolutely stay here again. Thanks Bee!

Wow! It is just amazing. It was so relaxing. The creek next to it was very beautiful and our kids enjoyed it very much. Definitely will come back.
