Renovated mountain property, overlooking the Hiawasse River, featuring a heated pool (closed seasonally, depending on rental requests as late as Oct). Up charge for heat, if needed. Recent 6 person Hottub. Amazing views from inside or outside, and several thousand square feet of concrete and trex decking makes this property a wonderful vacation setting. Sleeps a maximum of 10. Two sets of twin bunks are recommended for children. Tight for 10 adults.

Centrally located within 1 mile of downtown Murphy, with multiple delicious restaurants, 4.4 miles to the recently built $200+M Harrah's Casino, and less than a 45 min drive to the Nantahala Gorge white water rafting center with zip lines. Fun for just about all ages.

Home includes Foseball/Soccer and Ping Pong table.

Pet deposit of $25 per dog. Max 2 dogs allowed per visit. Again pool can be heated for an additional cost.

Perfect Family Getaway
I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our week at the Cactus Cabin!! Everything from the house, to the view, to the town was perfect for our getaway. We had 6 adults and 2 tweens and the house met our needs perfectly. Thank you for a great stay!! We will be back!

We loved the views! Scott was so easy to work with and answered all my questions quickly! We missed getting to use the pool but plan on staying here again! Very spacious and the porches and outdoor eating was enjoyable!

My mom, baby Bella (mini Aussiedoodle), and I had a fantastic experience! The owner was communicative and the house had everything we needed. Being close to downtown Murphy while still enjoying some seclusion was the perfect balance. We definitely plan on coming back!

Visiting the new grandbaby.
We enjoyed our stay. The deck was awesome and the views even better. Not far from town and the road wasn’t bad getting there. Loved the rocking chairs and swing on the deck. Had our meals utilizing the picnic table. The walk to the lake is a little hard for a couple of them that tried it, but we didn’t come for that. Master bedroom is very nice.

Great motorcycle staging place
The house was outstanding. Easy place to get to, although the last quarter mile is tricky if you are on a bike and haven't been there before. We did not use the pool or hot tub, although on reflection wish I had paid for use of the tub. The little town of Murphy, literally next door, was a great place to eat and meet new people. We ate at a different place every day with no issues. I cannot say anything bad about the house because it is/was a great place to stay! If I come back to Murphy in the future, I will be looking to see if this place is available!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home. We wanted a vacation where we could do anything or nothing; go out or stay in; & that is exactly what this home allowed with a heated pool, a fire pit, and an amazing view! So, really no need to go anywhere else.

Beautiful place with something for everyone. Great for large groups too. Close to the Casino if that is what you like. One mile from Downtown Murphy. Perfect location! Love the Pool and the Hot Tub. The covered pavilions is my favorite to avoid the sun. Deer in the yard everyday! Thanks Scott for letting us stay in your beautiful home again.

The views of the mountains were stunning. We also were treated to an eagle flying over the property almost daily, and a herd of 7 deer came to the neighbors in the morning and evening to eat the corn they would put out. The property was in a neighborhood with one lane roads so be sure to go slow. The house was perfect for the 5 adults and the weather warmed up so we were able to use the pool without the heater. My husband went on a charter fishing trip with an area guide and caught big stripers. We walked the Murphy Riverwalk, kayaked the river, enjoyed steak dinner at The Chop House and pizza buffet at Downtown pizza (great salad bar). We'll definitely stay here again of we come back to the area. Thank you Scott for being a great communicator and having your property on VRBO.

Beautiful property. The pictures don’t do it justice. Very close to the charming town of Murphy, but we spent most of our time relaxing at the pool. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive to questions. Don’t hesitate to book this incredible property!

The VIEW!
Great rental. The pool and the deck were worth every penny. The house is showing some wear from use but I wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. Close to town and tons of outdoor recreation!

Pictures do not do this place justice. The view at this property is absolutely breathtaking. The home was equally impressive and the amenities were exceptional. The heated outdoor pool was my personal favorite of the trip. My daughter and her friends occupied the downstairs level and loved the bunk beds. The rocking chairs and porch swing were the perfect start and finish to each day. I look forward to spending many more vacations here!

Hideaway In The Mountains
The house was more than expected! Was the perfect about of space for our 7 adults and 1 kid. Amenities were everything and more. We loved being able to enjoy a private pool with a spectacular view. Would totally recommend the house for anyone. Plenty to do in and around Murphy too.
