Relaxing by the river
We had a great time at this cabin just relaxing and listening to the river flow over the rocks. The cabin is very spacious and well furnished, very homey feeling.The cabin owner personally checked on us to make sure everything was okay.

Peace and serenity
The cabin was absolutely perfect. The most peaceful location we’ve stayed at. We decided to stay in one location this go round and just drive to all the hiking spots in Tennesse, GA, and NC. It was a perfect location for us. We definitely hope to return.

Amazing River Stay
Our family of four had a lovely time at this cabin. The cabin is cozy, clean, and well-stocked for cooking. The views throughout the home are beautiful. Access to the river offered us trout fishing and splashing around on hot days. We will most definitely return; this was a special place for our family!

Awesome location
The location of the property was fantastic. Takes you through a 2 mile wooded area downstream to the property where Nottely river is flowing right behind. The road is wide enough to fit 2 cars and we saw deers on the way. The property is as described and as the picture shows. Kitchen had everything needed. Wifi was great as well. Gave cleanliness a 4 only due to spider/spider webs in all the corners of the house. Black ants were taken care off and was not an issue. A deep cleaning and dusting of the property will make this cabin an awesome place. Overall 5 star as we enjoyed the stay.

Perfect Getaway
This house is beautiful and the atmosphere out back on the river is just perfect. Secluded enough that you can enjoy the sounds of nature as the river flows by, but a short 15 minute drive to downtown Murphy for a little time on the town as well. Host was in touch before hand to fill us in on a few things about the house, checked in with us on check in and check out, and genuinely cared we had a great stay. We had 6 adults and all stayed comfortably here. We didn’t want to leave! Thanks!

Relaxing riverfront but…
The property was really relaxing by the river. There were a few things that could have been addressed prior to our stay to make it a 5 star review. I do wish there would have been a house manual of some sorts. There was nothing to go by explaining anything about the house, amenities (tv,etc) or area as you usually get in most rentals. Then there were the ants 🐜 everywhere! We actually had to put all food we brought in fridge because the ants took over the kitchen. Though the exterminator came out we still dealt with the ants every day and ended up not cooking at all in the kitchen. Kind of a bummer for two ladies who love to cook (also bring your own stuff for cooking as this kitchen is not well stocked with basics like oil, foil, seasonings. The handyman also came and brought some draino for a clogged shower drain that I ended up using a couple times to get the water down in the upstairs bathroom. The whole house could have used a really thorough and good cleaning. I told the owner that it was pretty dirty in the showers and though they offered to send cleaners back out we just ended up cleaning ourselves (yuck) since we didn’t want to wait for another person to come out. We did really enjoy relaxing down by the river when we were there. It was quite peaceful. There’s goose, ducks, chickens and roosters along the river which was cool.The beds were comfy which is a plus. Murphy is a beautiful place and we did enjoy our stay for the most part. Owner was friendly and helpful.
