Je cherchais un lieu silencieux en pleine nature et je l’ai trouvé. Tout ce qu’il fallait comme linge, ustensile de cuisine se trouvent sur place. La propreté est exemplaire. "Stayed here for a week in June/July. Even during the very hot weather the downstairs of the gite was very cool. The gite was well equipped and comfortable. It's isolation ensures you have a great view of the night sky but can be a long drive from the main roads due to the winding roads. My suggestions may be for a fan in the bedroom as on a warm evening it can get quite hot upstairs. Overall we had a great time during our one week stay here and would recommend it."

"We had a warm and friendly welcome, helped by our ability to speak French (Paul and Genevieve admit that they have very little English!). Be prepared with provisions and fuel when you arrive as the nearest shops are some distance away and likely to be closed at inconvenient times (for the English at least!). The only road into the village (3 houses!) is long and very narrow, testing the driver's manoeuvring skills in the unlikely event of on-coming traffic. We arrived at the start of Autumn with...

"Un très beau gîte dans un très beau site.A 12 nous étions très à l’aise. De grands et beaux espaces chaleureux. Une semaine de Février très humide…nous avons beaucoup apprécié le grand salon avec l’espace très convivial autour du poêle.Sommes allés 2 jours au Lioran mais la fermeture du pas de Peyrol l’hiver rend le trajet bien long. Envie de revenir à la belle saison dans ce joli pays (villages, forêts, planèzes…) "

"The town of Murat was better than expected. Small cobblestones streets, old, charming houses. Many shops, cafes, restaurants. The nature around town is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers. Murat is also on the Circuit des Monts du Cantal The apartment was big enough for 4 people. Appliances are not recent but functional Overall clean but a coat of fresh paint wouldn’t hurt."
