Pictured Rocks Lodge 5 minutes from Munising! Recently remodeled!
This beautiful home was built by my father. Custom wood design with plenty of room for your entire family! The master bedroom has it's own private balcony! The main level also has a deck. Full use home means you have everything you need from your washer and dryer to your pots and pans! You are just a few minutes away from Munising, which is famous for their pictured rock tours! Canoeing down the Au Train River is also something you won't want to miss out on! A great vacation spot with lots to do! I have board games and puzzles so you can have some family time together as well.

Property was beautiful. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The owner was very helpful and patient. If you're looking for an up north family get away, this place is great. I would stay again!

Charming Log Home
We really enjoyed our stay at the home. It has everything you might need for a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the deck and hot tub and views of Lake Superior
This home was immaculate in every way. The kitchen was well-stocked with the necessities for cooking. The bathrooms were sparkly clean. The beds were clean and comfy. And, Trish was incredibly helpful and polite. It was a great stay!
property was secluded, and quiet. Yet, located within convenient distance for day trips to explore the UP. Property was clean, and well stocked with items that are generally not provided by other vrbo properties. Overall, staying at this property made our vacation even better.

Awesome cabin near Munising!
Beautiful cabin in the woods. Tricia (owner) made herself available during our stay. I could tell that she puts her guests first. Our family will definitely rent here again when we come back up to the UP!
I liked that there was no tv. It allowed us to relax and step away from reality while tucked away in the woods. No neighbors or traffic, just very relaxing.
Quiet spot for 3 days of visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
This was a lovely 3 level home with a beautiful deck. The hot tub was not functional while we were there, but that was okay with us. The kitchen was well furnished with dishes. As I recall, the ice maker did not function. Comfortable beds. Our host talked us through exactly how to arrive at this out of the way spot.
Everyone loved our stay here. Once we found the property it was just as described and was a great launching point for a weekend enjoying Pictured rocks. The drive way was a two track so if you don’t have a car that can handle that or don’t want to get your car dirty be aware of that. The open floor plan allowed for everyone to talk even while making food. Coffee on the porch in the morning was amazing and so was the late night soaks in the hot tub. Would recommend going to anyone.
A flood light or additional lighting around the outside of the house would be nice. Gets a bit dark in the evening. More detailed cleaning would help the cleanliness rating for this property.
We stayed last summer and had a very nice time. We really enjoyed the area, and the house was conveniently located. The owner was quick to respond to questions.
The accomodations were very nice, and the house was comfortable and well stocked.
I will mention that there is no door between the master bath and bedroom, which was less than ideal. You can't easily see the toilet from the bedroom so as long as you know someone is in the bathroom, privacy can be maintained.
Other than that - very pleased.
Tricia was great with communication - proactively reached out a week ahead of our stay to let us know about a broken hot tub - was super accommodating and gave us lots of options. Loved the quiet location. Pictures are accurate. Kitchen was really well stocked. Home is very very close to Christmas and Munising - so great for exploring the area. 3rd floor master and bath are lovely! Heads up for scent-sensitive people - we did put about 5 plug in air fresheners on the balcony for our stay - but the windows aired everything out quickly.

GORGEOUS IMMACULATE CABIN BREATHTAKING VIEWS!!!!
The perfect location for a beautiful family vacation!! I was so impressed with this gorgeous cabin. Not only was the cabin flawlessly maintained, the grounds were also immaculate!! This location will be a family vacation tradition from now on. The views and abundant wild life made us not want to come home!! There was so much to do, I wished I had booked the place longer, can't wait to get out there again and enjoy more of the activities and attractions! Overall we were very satisfied and will definitely be visiting again. This was a dream vacation for us, booking was easy, the owner was awesome to work with and we truly enjoyed the home feel of the place. I would and do recommend this property to anyone and everyone!!!
For the price we were very satisfied. House was clean, beds were comfortable. The grill was clean. There were extras like coffee, spices and condiments in fridge. Kitchen cook wears were nice. Outside fire pit was full of trash when we arrived. Things that need to be fixed: hot tub, fireplace, no ice/water from fridge, toilet paper holder. Need better directions on what to do with trash. Mosquitoes were everywhere. Was nice to park in garage. Owner was responsive and gave us a discount for no hot tub and dirty fire pit.

Quiet and off the beaten path
My Husband and I stayed at Tricia's property for a week and enjoyed everything. The place was nice and clean, quiet, spacious, and relaxing. We cooked all meals in with the exception of Pasties and Pizza one evening. The Kitchen has great counter space and is nicely stocked. The upstairs bed was soft and the laundry room on that floor was very handy. Trica kept in touch with us quickly when we had questions. The place is off the beaten path but not difficult once she directed us. All the bedding was so pretty and she even has matching towels! We loved our visit so much we are already talking about a return trip. This property was in a great location for all the hiking we did in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Thanks Trica your the best! Cindy and Doug

Hot box
What ever your paying your cleaning service, your paying too much. Broken chair propped up against a post. My husband nearly broke his neck. Moldy shower curtain, leaking toilet. No AC so the place was stifling. Couldn’t open the door upstairs because of holes in the screen. Mosquitoes would of eaten you alive. Mold in the freezer. Very disappointed

Its a nice house, but a little pricey for what you get.
Let me share the pros and cons for this place.
Pros:
- Its a secluded enough location if you want to keep away from the crowds of Munising.
- The porch area is very nice to have your breakfast and coffee
- The views from the upper bedroom are gorgeous. We saw some beautiful skies during sunsets and its also great for star gazing
- Tricia is very responsive and friendly
Cons:
- You will not find the address on the GPS - its quite convoluted, especially if you are arriving after dark. But I have to say Tricia was very helpful and prompt in guiding us to the home.
- No wifi in the home - you are completely cut off if you don't get cell phone reception there
- The home has a very musty smell
- No airconditioning - we were baked in the house, especially in the living room as the porch door couldn't be kept open due to mosquitoes - I wish there was a screen to the the porch door.
- The entrance is through a garage which is filled with a lot of stuff and again the musty smell is very strong - it just doesn't leave a good impression especially when you are entering the house for the first time
- The dishwasher was not working - it was a nuisance for us to keep washing everything by hand, especially since they have only 4 dinner plates. There are 3 bedrooms so the house can accommodate 6 ppl easily, but there is not enough dinnerware for a family of 6.

Pretty Cabin, with some reservations
This cabin is as pretty as it looks in the pictures. The view is wonderful and the colors were great-we were there in October. It has a well stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms with nice beds and 2 bathrooms. We had a great time in the area exploring and saw many waterfalls. The cabin is in an ideal location no matter which direction your wandering takes you in.
There are a few things that I believe anyone renting should know. If you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle you would probably not want to take your vehicle on the road to the cabin. It is dirt and sand and very rough. If it had been raining it would have been a mess.
You enter the cabin though the garage and go up a steep, narrow flight of steps. This is the only entrance/exit from the cabin. I believe there should be, at the very least, one of the emergency ladders you can throw over the deck or out a window in case of fire as you would be trapped. There was only one working smoke detector also. This caused some concern for all of us (there were 4 of us) as the garage is filled with tools and furniture.
The bedrooms and the bathrooms were filled with someone's belongings. There were clothes, shoes and personal belongings in both bathrooms and all 3 bedrooms. It lent an uncomfortable feeling to the place. There was no place to put anything in the downstairs bathroom as the medicine cabinet and under the sink were filled. I have never stayed anywhere that this was the case. The staircase going to the master bedroom on the top floor has no handrail and narrow steps. This was a safety concern.
Overall I think this cabin has the potential to be a 5 star rental. But I think they need to address some safety concerns (Ladder, handrails, smoke detectors, hanging lights not secured in garage) first and clear the place of personal belongings-or lock them away somewhere so guests don't feel like intruders.

UP Michigan
The house was nice, well stocked and clean.
The owner was very kind and helpful. The hot hub in the pictures isn’t working and the hot water is minimal. We had 4 adults and there wasn’t enough water for two showers back to back. It’s a 3 story home, so not for anyone who can’t go stairs. The trash was overflowing in the garage and filled the house with flies.
Also, there was no heat in the home because the propane was empty and we had lows in the low 40’s.
