"I was really excited to see what it would be like on a canal boat. One of the first things that happened was a pair of swans floated by. Pretty cool. The location of the boat was in the middle of everything. A great jumping off point to tour the center of Amsterdam. I enjoyed my accommodation and exploring the city. "

Location is outside of the city center but it was good to be near the windmills, have the use of the boat and the bikes which we would not have had if we had been in the city center. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. "Where else can you stay in a houseboat in the middle of the city? It is definitely a fun adventure. A few things to know: if you or anyone in your group has mobility issues this place is not for you. Steep stairs. Also you are in the city. It isn’t quiet. The hosts kindly leave earplugs but we sleep with white noise so not an issue for us. The kitchen is more of a Kitchenette. Great storage for clothing given it’s a houseboat. Management was quick to respond to questions. "

"Casper is a helpful host/owner. He had a great list of recommendations and showed us around the property when we arrived. The studio was nice and a great location to the train station. With a Vrbo, I expect to rent the whole place, just be aware that you’ll have a neighbor that you share a front door with and that the owner has an adjoining door they stays locked. I never felt unsafe but didn’t feel like this was spelled out on the description. The original listing mentioned a hot tub twice,...

"This was an incredible end to our trip. The town is so quaint and adorable with so many friendly people. The houseboat was gorgeous, clean and beautifully decorated. The sauna was perfect since the weather was a little chill but exactly what you’d expect for the end of December. The host was very friendly and helpful. It was an amazing experience!"

"The boat is very basic but is in a great location not far from the centre of old Amsterdam. (Ignore Diemen as the location). It’s very cheap for Amsterdam which makes up for its basic amenities. You can make use of facilities in nearby cafes and the Public library. The surrounding area is just off the tourist route so you get to see how locals live. Cees was a great host, very accessible and happy to help out and give advice."

" the beat services I will ever use in my traveling experience… the workers at the hotel are so so nice.. Good communication and good customer service practices.… I will definitely recommend the Citiez Hotel if you ever want to travel to Amsterdam… and ask of Atila he's the best guy for the job… tank you my stay was awesome "

"Fantastic warm welcome, offered a glass of fizz as we were checking in. Staff were really helpful and always on hand. Amazing breakfast - with a really wide choice. Waffles and pancakes both lovely and light. Room comfortable with water replaced daily and great coffee available. Our only gripe was not being able to switch the air con off at night unless we took card out by door which then switched everything off but it wasn’t overly noisey (we would have preferred to have had it switched off). Thank you for a lovely stay "

"Beautiful modern hotel on the waters edge, it’s about 6min walk from tram lines & about 10min tram journey to city centre, lovely helpful staff, good food & drinks section, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful top floor room with a jacuzzi & free drinks which was wonderful surprise "

"Great location, not far from central station and a tram stop. Also offers parking just round the corner which was great for us as we had rented a car for one night of our stay and the staff were very accommodating. The room was spotless and very nice. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Would return if we are ever in Amsterdam again"
