This hotel was absolutely amazing. From the quirky decor, co-working space, yoga studio with sessions and the gym. It was beautiful. I loved the layout of the apartment. Small, but super well planned. Super clean. Everything had its spot. One of the best hotels I have stayed at ever! And I loved all the plants.

Awesome Location, location, location. We were 2 blocks away on Gmunder Str. away from Aidenbachstraße Ubahn train station. We took the train all over Munich from there with Isarcard for zone M. Marla helped us with understanding the use of the tickets. Across the street from the train station is a REWE grocery store. We enjoyed the fresh food from there as we enjoyed our roof top suite with a Kitchenette. Our suite had a gorgeous balcony with 2 sliding glass doors to the balcony. The open floor plan felt like you had a lot of room. The kitchen was small but perfect for our needs. We saved $hundreds of dollars in our 12 day stay. The staff was so kind and professional and answered questions. The neighborhood was very quiet as it is in the south side of Munich. There are now more scaffolding on building next door and the environment was perfect for peace and relaxing.

The only complaint would be the bed / mattress on the floor. It was very difficult for seniors to get in and out of bed. Otgwr than that we loved our stay.

At reception Jenny had the same birthday as me, so she gave us two tickets for free drinks. Very nice! Parking deck was a couple blocks away, so we needed to pull up by the back door to unload then go park the car. The room was on the west side and was very hot due to the sun. Opened a window a bit to air it out, and the AC went off. Reception told us if you open a window it will turn off. So I closed it more securely. We had to leave to go get dinner but lights and everything went off. Back to reception. I learned that you have to leave your card key in the little receptacle inside the door to keep the power on. Reception said it is like that everywhere. We had been to several hotels in France, Switzerland, and Austria and had never seen that. So to keep it cooling while we went to dinner, we had to leave one of our keys in the room! We wished we had known that the room had built in clothes washer and dryer. We stopped in Salzburg and did laundry that morning, but then found out we didn't need to. It is amazing all the things they could fit in that room. It was very trendy and modern, including the bed at floor (platform) on one side and almost on floor on the other side. Pretty inconvenient for anyone over 65! But everything was very clean. Maybe we should asked for a room for disabled people?

Overall, this property has very good amenities and very helpful staff. One thing I disliked was having our room directly over an employee access door where they would use it for smoking. We like fresh air, having our window open, the cigarette stench entered our room constantly, only negative I have for this property.

The front desk people were fabulous. They helped to make our stay even better. I would recommend this place to everyone. The price and amenities that are included are amazing. A really great fine dining restaurant and a bar in the lobby. And let's not forget about the roof top bar. The wait staff at these places were patient, friendly and professional. They answered any and all questions we had about menus and any thing else. This is a great hotel. We definitely would stay hear again.

Very well/efficiently designed room that made the space feel much bigger than it was. The rooftop bar was closed during our stay, but the lobby bar was open and had a good selection. The hotel gym has enough equipment for a basic workout while on vacation. The staff were helpful in talking us through how to use the metro. There’s not a lot going on in the area near the hotel, but the metro is a 5 min walk from the hotel and allows easy access to all of the most popular places in Munich. Unless you need your hotel to be right in the center of the action this is a great, quiet place to recharge at the end of a day exploring with easy access to the city center.

The WunderLocke is just south of centre Munich and perfectly located for either driving or public transport. It’s more of an apartment-hotel, so if you’re only staying for a week, your room will not be cleaned, and fresh towels need to be gotten from the front desk. Our room (the 3-person loft) was outfitted with a kitchenette (stovetop), fridge, mini-dishwasher, and a 2-in-1 washer/dryer as well as all utensils and dishes. The sauna, pool and gym facilities are amazing and well kept, but keep in mind, if you’re going to Oktoberfest, you can only use the sauna before you attend the festival and not after, and Tuesday morning and Thursday evening is reserved for women only. There is a large above ground parking lot for a small fee, but they don’t give you an access card, so you need to run back and forth to the front desk every time to access the garage which can be a pain.

This is a utilitarian property - no extras. Clean the room every 7 days. Have to request additional towels after 2nd day. The micro suite is ok for 1 person. The 2 of us had to arrange when we wanted to move around the room. Most guests were under 30.

Great hotel in the Sendling neighborhood of Munich. Right next to the S7 & U3 metro lines, with plenty of bus lines, and walkability. Very clean and quiet area. The property is new and well maintained. Would return.
