Newly Renovated! Perfect home away in Munich.

Enjoy Munich as a local in this newly renovated two room apartment in the center of town. The building dates from the mid 1800's and the ammenities from 2016. With 82 square meters (almost 900 square feet) you will have plenty of room to work or relax. The apartment is on the ground floor and, in addition to being very secure, is easily accessable for any traveller. The location is very close to SENDLINGER TOR, a major public transportation hub with the intersection of 4 subway lines, 4 tram lines and a bus line. You can easily get to anywhere in the city from Sendlinger Tor. Marienplatz is only a short stroll away. Inspite of being in the center of town, the apartment is very quiet and is always enjoyed by guests of any age. Families, retirees, business travellers, opera singers, actors and explorers of all kinds have been our guests over the years.

The bathroom was completely remodeled in 2016 and includes a large walk-in shower, floor heating, custom cabinets and a clothes washer/dryer combo. The kitchen includes a large refridgerator, dish washer, plenty of cooking utensils as well as pots-and-pans of all sizes. The apartment is ideal for longer stays or shorter get-away trips.

A brand new, Italian-made sleeper sofa with an extra sized mattress for comfort is found in the living room along with a lovely new dining table and chairs. The living area has tasteful lighting which may be dimmed to suit any mood.

The bedroom has a brand new 180cm x 200cm mattress and bed along with top quality bedding from Zoeppritz, Europe's oldest fabric weaving company (1828). You will have plenty of closet space along with a comfortable work desk and high-speed WLAN connectivity and, of course, a flatscreen television. Draw the lovely JAB Anstoetz drapes for privacy at any time and enjoy your home-away-from-home in Munich.

    It is good size apartment for 4 people. we stayed 7 nights. Check in and check out is easy. Apartment has humidity.there is humidifier working, make sure empty the water backet from humidifier regularly. Good location, overall we are happy we stayed here .

    Great location, very walkable to the main parts of the city! That being said, it was one of the few properties left when booking a week in advance. The place had everything you could need, except pillows. A couple issues: one of the heaters was broken and it was very cold for the people sleeping on the couch. The crib provided was broken and we couldn’t put our child in it. Overall, a fine stay.

    The apartment is the perfect home away from home with plenty of space for a family and friends to visit. It has all of the essentials needed and very comfortable beds. The location is supreme with a short walk to public transportation and it's right around the corner from shopping and restaurants. We were very pleased and will check this apartment before any other the next time we are in Munich.

    Excellent Location
    Excellent location. Grocery store down the street. Lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Walking distance to Marienplatz. Ubaun around the corner which gives you easy access to other locations including the train station to take day trips. The apartment is a bit dark and damp but we didn’t spend much time indoors. Having a washer/dryer was very handy. Nice big washroom.

    Great location/great neighborhood
    This checked all of our boxes, great neighborhood, close to so many great sites, including Theresienwiese, Sendliger Tor train station about a 5 minute walk. Apartment was roomy and had everything we needed although we did have to buy laundry soap). It was somewhat difficult to correspond with the property manager, as messsge responses took awhile, if at all. Check-in was on-time and easy though. Overall, highly recommend!

    Great Location!
    The location of the apartment was great! Close to bus, tram and subway. Great neighborhood. Very close to the Marienplatz. The apartment was spacious including the bathroom. It lived up to what is advertised. A few small things needed attention. There was no hand soap in the bathroom so we bought some. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher soap that we saw. Again small things. Overall would definitely recommend this place.

    Fabulous Location, Great Apartment
    We stayed here for a week in December and loved it. It is a short distance to walk to Merionplatz and Sedlinger Tor Tram/Train station (you can get to any sightseeing destination from here). The neighborhood is full of nice restaurants and there's a grocery store close by. The apartment itself is large, well furnished with lots of supplies and the master bed is very comfortable. WiFi works well. The owners were very helpful in getting us some supplies since we arrived on a Sunday and grocery stores are closed on Sunday. They also arranged a cab for us on our departure. All in all, we had a great week!

    Great location, and just as the owner said it was
    So fortune to have this great apartment to stay in. Anton greeted us out of the clear blue, he must have been just patiently waiting for us. Once in the apartment he showed us all around, answered any questions and made us feel very comfortable. There are restaurants very nearby and a grocery store too, walking distance. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and then some. Thank you Patt for your prompt responses and timely emails. That made booking your unit very easy. I would recommend to a friend and would stay there again.

    Central and comfortable
    Patt is a very welcoming host who showed us around the apartment on arrival, explaining the working of appliances and other features of this very well-stocked apartment. We were very comfortable and felt at home here. The location is very central with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants as well as a grocery store in close proximity. We rented bicycles which we could safely store in the courtyard. Parking is a problem as Patt had warned us, therefore we parked our car at Frottmaning Parking garage for the week. This cost was only 18euro for the week. We would stay here again to explore this beautiful city further.

    We would highly recommend this quiet apartment, if you want to be at the center of activities.
    Janet and I spent two enjoyable weeks during Oktoberfest in this newly-renovated apartment. The location in city center made it easy to enjoy all the festivities. Our massive bedroom with king-sized bed was just perfect. The rain shower added an extra treat.. Complimentary wine on arrival was another touch. Breakfast was only a few steps from our ground-level location. A convenient market for shopping took only a few minutes. . The neighborhood is clean and safe for an evening stroll. Use local tram and subway just minutes away from the apartment. We would highly recommend this quiet apartment, if you want to be at the center of activities. Janet and Fred

    Large apartment in a great location
    The apartment is very large and it is in a great location. It should be noted that it is a basement apartment and is partially below street level. There is a washing machine but no dryer. The bedroom is very large and the bed is comfortable. There is a wonderful market just around the corner and the center of town is a nice 10 minute walk. We were greeted upon arrival by Anton who is absolutely delightful. He showed us around the apartment and made sure we understood how everything worked. Also, Patt is one of the best owners I have dealt with on VRBO. He returned emails quickly and kept in touch during the year our reservation was pending. The only negative we encountered during our stay was that the towels, some of the bedding and some other furnishings were very old and worn out. If the towels and a few other items were updated this apartment would be 4 stars.

    Definitely Worth a Future Return
    To avoid being too repetitious, I'll just say that we (three friends) totally agree with all the positive comments made by previous guests. In addition, we especially enjoyed the spaciousness of the bedroom/sitting room, the total sense of privacy, and the "non-touristy" location of the apartment. The couch in the bedroom easily and comfortably sleeps an additional adult. We found Patt, Michael, and Anton to be very accommodating and responsive hosts. There are a couple of things I believe could be improved upon. Many items left behind by previous guests take up valuable drawer, closet, and shelf space; especially in the bathroom and small kitchen. A shelf over the coffee pot area could be useful. Essential paper and cleaning products were only sufficient for a very few days. All in all I would highly recommend this apartment for 2 or 3 people. We had an additional guest for a few days and that also worked quite well. Wonderful memories!

    Needs Some Work
    First, the positive. This apartment is nicely located just a 15 minute walk from all the major attractions. And there is also a much closer U-bahn stop to get to places further afield or if you don't want to walk. We were greeted by Anton, who took the time to show us how everything worked, as well as some tips for sightseeing. The place had also been cleaned before our arrival. However, there are some things that really need updating. The upholstery and throw rugs are just plain dirty. We didn't really even want to sit on the sofa in the living area. In addition, the place is very messy, with literally every surface covered with stuff like piles of public bathroom type paper towels and old rags. And the towels are virtually unusable - more like sand paper than cotton. This place has some potential but just needs a really good sprucing up!

    Great location! Needs a couple of improvements
    Overall, there were some really great things about this property, but there were also 3 things that needed improvement. Great items included: 1) Location; 2) Bathroom was very nice; 3) Kitchen was well appointed for cooking small meals; 4) check-in and communication with the property manager was easy; and 5) washer/dryer worked well for laundry Items that needed improvement: 1) The apartment needs a bit of a deep clean. While the space was generally clean, as in my socks/slippers were not dirty after wearing them around. There was however cobwebs in most of the corners and on the curtains; as well as some mold growing in the kitchen and bathroom areas. All of this appears superficial and likely just needs some attention. 2) The apartment needs a guide book that includes information on how to use the appliances, heat, television, etc. 3) Finally, the electrical needs some work. The lights didn't work well and at times made the apartment feel a bit like a cave. The lights over the kitchen area needed to be unscrewed and screwed in by hand, rather than by a switch. This should be remedied immediately.

    Awesome Location and HUGE!
    My husband and I stayed at this apartment over the Christmas holiday. We could not have asked for a better location! It's hard to see on the map just how close this is to the city center, literally a 10 minute leisurely walk to the Marienplatz. Also, there are so many great restaurants and cafes on and around the street that don't have any tourists in them, this is where we spent most of our late evenings. Neighborhood felt extremely safe, even really late at night. Grocery store around the corner. The owner was great in helping our planning before arrival and during our stay. He called us personally months in advance to help us with any questions about the apartment and Munich in general. He answered all my emails before our arrival and even helped us after our stay when we realized that we had left something in the apartment. The apartment is far bigger that it appears in pictures, this was the largest VRBO we have ever stayed in. The apartment was clean and the first floor location was awesome. The washer worked great and plenty of hot water for the shower, even in the winter. In the apartment there were also tons of books (travel, leisure, Munich, Germany) as well. As it was Christmas, there was even a small decorated tree in the apartment, which made it feel really cozy. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Munich. So close to all the "sights" but not in a tourist area at all. The best of both worlds!

    Good and bad
    This was the last apartment we rented on a three-and-a-half week vacation through France & Germany. Sadly, it was the only one that caused us stress. Although the apt was larger than expected (especially the bedroom and bathroom), the bed was comfortable, the shower was very nice, and having a washer/dryer helped, there were a few issues, some minor and just annoying; others serious. Annoying/minor: Light bulbs in several places were out so the apt was dark most of the time. Since it’s partly underground, that felt gloomy. One comforter didn’t have a cover and there were holes in it. This caused down feathers to float around all the time. Towels were clean, but quite rough. Stiff. Time for new ones or better washing cycles?? The photos of the apt show a TV, but it wasn’t hooked up at all. No service, no matter what language you were searching for. Not a deal-breaker cuz we’re there to see Munich, but…after dinner, it might be nice. And if it doesn’t work, remove photos. Ok, now for the two bad things: 1) There was a God-awful smell in the refrigerator. It was so bad, we couldn’t keep our wine or water bottles in there. Terrible! 2) There was a screw-up/miscommunication about our check-out date. We came back from a long day of sightseeing, ready to enjoy our last night at the apt and a bottle of wine, and *the housekeeper was cleaning the unit!* She had moved all of our things into the dining area - including all of our personal items: dirty laundry, jewelry, souvenirs. When we entered, she was very upset AT US! She spoke no English, so we couldn’t communicate. A few minutes later, she handed me her cell with Agnes on the line. (Agnes is the property manager. The person I’d been communicating with.) She explained that she thought we were already gone!! I reminded her that we had reserved and paid for FIVE nights, checking out on Sunday. I won’t relate all of the back-and-forth that ensued via email, but during that exchange, she actually *blamed ME* for the confusion! I pointed her to check the actual booking, and I suggested it was *her* responsibility to check and manage the booking. A mistake is one thing, but to blame me?! And when the housekeeper arrived, I couldn’t understand why she hadn’t called Agnes right away to check instead of moving our things and trying to clean around them. Not a good end to our time in Munich.

    A Huge Letdown
    First of all…make NO mistake…this is a Basement apartment! I feel like we’ve been “catfished”!! This apartment does not look like its pictures! Don’t know when they were taken but it does not look like that! It is dank, dark and musty which became bearable after 3 days with the dehumidifier running 24/7 and emptying 3 times daily. There was mould around the shower area. Drain in shower needs cleaning as floor would flood. Cobwebs in every corner. Room sizes were decent. Bed was super low…maybe 15 inches off the floor but comfortable…thankfully. Curtains in main room were barely hanging on and in need of repair. If I could have gotten my money back we would have left! Only good thing was we loved the area…just not the apartment! Would not recommend!

    Perfect Oktoberfest apartment
    Great location for exploring Munich. Centrally located - a short walk or quick ride on public transit to both Marienplatz and Oktoberfest. It is quite humid in the apartment, so you have to keep the windows open. I wasn’t completely comfortable with that as it’s a ground floor unit, plus many of the windows have ripped or missing screens, allowing bugs in. Very convenient to have washer/dryer, but it TINY and takes a long time, so don’t expect to do massive amounts of laundry. Lots of space in the apartment, and the bed was very comfortable. Cute neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants. Overall was perfect for the two of us for three days in Munich!

    Great stay in Munich!
    The property was located in a really good spot to gain access to the tram line and the entire city. We were able to explore so much off of the location of the property. The property itself had a very easy check-in process and the amenities were good (especially the access to fans in the heat wave passing through.) Thank you for an amazing stay!
