This hotel is below average, especially for the price point. The rooms are OK, but the big problem is the sound and service.
There are phones on every floor, and they start ringing around 7am and continue past 11pm. At one point the phone rang so many times in an hour -- I stopped counting after 50 rings. We requested, repeatedly, for someone to turn off the ringer. It seemed the front desk was making calls to other staff that way because every time it was ringing, we tried to call the front desk, and the line was busy. It woke us up, and kept us up. Not cool!
We also requested a laundry service there. We stayed in India for two months. We paid ₹250-350 per load. In Rishikesh, our laundry service charged ₹7 per piece. Here, we paid 3-4x the rate -- It was more expensive than getting our laundry done in New York City! ₹20 per piece was what we were quoted for underwear and socks, however when the check came back it was ₹30 per piece. We were quoted ₹30 per piece for shorts and t-shirts, but charged ₹40 per piece. Overall, it would have been fine, except in the end we paid ₹750 --and the clothes came back still dirty! The staff acknowledged the error, and sent the clothes back out. They came back a second time... wait for it... still dirty!! So do NOT do laundry there.
Lastly, the breakfast was really disappointing. Most places we stayed in India offered fresh masala omelettes, and chai. The food here was sub-par, made, & then left out for ages.
