"This was our 3rd motel in Brunswick Heads in 3 nights. The walls are thin, we heard every word of our neighbours conversations. Whilst this is a non-smoking motel ( signs are everywhere) there was smoking outside our room every hour or so during our stay so windows had to be closed and the smoke came into the room regardless. We reported it to the guy at reception but no action was taken. The water temperature in the shower goes from hot to cold and back again on its own, not sure if this is...

"This hotel is more like a backpackers, it has permanents living there. Dirty, smelly and noisy at night. . Smelt of smoke even though not supposed to smoke. Bathroom was VERY old and hairs on floor. Carpet was dirty, curtains were hanging off hooks. The outside of the building would turn you away straight away, but inside was far worse. Free underground onsite parking which is the best bit, because street parking in Byron is limited and expensive. Nice big two bedroom apartment overlooking pool.
