"We throughly enjoyed our three nights in Anke's cottage. It provided a great base to explore Strasbourg and the Alsace region. The cottage itself is cozy and enchanting, located on the grounds of a larger chatelet. Anke and her husband Eric were welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend!"

"Really nice location with a great view. Some utilities upgrade would be welcomed - iron board but no iron. No large knives, just three tiny ones to cut (good luck with Watermon). Swimming pool amazing and clean. Pascale very welcoming. Badminton racquets could also be replaced, as all had snapped strings. Not too far away from Vin de Alsace route - half an hour drive.."

"The gite was tastefully decorated and had all the equipment you need. We visited in a heat wave and the gite was nice and cool and a has a huge bathroom / walk in shower. Lovely terrace outside which gives privacy from neighbours. Matthieu lives opposite and was on hand for anything we needed but not at all intrusive. Also lots of lovely forests nearby to walk or cycle in and it's near enough to the German border to easily have a day in Germany."

"Mein Mann und ich waren für ein paar ruhige Tage mit unserer kleinen Hündin in dem süßen kleinen Ferienhaus zu Besuch. Wir wollten mal in Ruhe abschalten, lesen und relaxen. Es war perfekt!! Noch nie hatten wir eine solche Einweisung und liebevoll bis ins kleinste Detail ausgearbeitete Informationen zum Haus und allen Möglichkeiten. Der Kamin hat für uns den Wohlfühlfaktor noch maximiert. Vielen Dank!! Wir kommen gerne wieder!"

"Elegant decor and fresh flowers on arrival made our arrival very special. This is the best presented property we have ever been lucky enough to find. Comfortable furniture and spacious rooms. Good outdoor furniture for a summer evening. Menil is a classic French agricultural village on a hilltop setting. Peaceful and calm but close to plenty of walking trails and historic settings. The house, the place, and the wonderful hosts are highly recommended."

"Marguerite was a wonderful host and her house and garden are beautiful. There is plenty of room for a couple to relax. The lounge has two big sofas, nice lights and satellite TV. The kitchen is well-equipped, with a new oven and lots of pans and cutlery. The bedroom is comfortable and the shower is easy to use. We also appreciated the washing machine and iron. We were able to walk around the huge garden whenever we wanted (just watch the mosquitoes!) and Marguerite gave us apples from her...

"This property lacks nothing - spacious, comfortable with everything you could ever need for a fabulous stay. The views of the deer each morning are delightful and Twix and Bounty (sheep which look like goats in the field) are lovely and will delight your children. M, and Mme Burger were very welcoming and hospitable and made every effort to make sure we had all information we needed. We can't speak too highly of this property - probably the best we have ever had , and not expensive. Ideal place...
