"Someone recommended this hostel and I'm glad they did. I do not know of any other hostel that includes breakfast and it is very good ( my only tip would be for breakfast is to provide a selection of "mini crossiants" rather than cakes with your coffee! The staff are really friendly and helpful too! I also like how the cleaner cleans your room everyday and making everything look clean ( shout out to the CLEANER'S, THANK YOU)"

"They were very welcoming! Everything was well cared for, the community space was always open for anyone (they didn't even really mind when people would let others in when the receptionists were off, since usually it was either well-known friends or other guests wanting to get out of the sun, etc). The kitchen was clean, and even though the beds were all rather cramped together and it was a little hard to get up into the top bunk every night, I had a genuinely rlly good experience there"

"Definitely the most basic hostel I've stayed in. There are no staff and no doors on the dorms so minimal privacy. There are three floors and you need to pass through every other dorm to get to the top floor. Therefore, if you're staying on the first or second floor, people will be passing through your room to get to the floors above. "This hostel is exactly the type of hostel that I love to stay in. Very accommodating and friendly staff who have a great wealth of knowledge on Malta. A very clean hostel, the cleaning staff seem to do an amazing job every day. The common areas are ideal for relaxing in after a long day/night in the heat too, very peaceful. "This was a very bizzare property. It’s NOT a hotel. It’s a 3 Bedroom apartment with locking bedroom doors. There is a common living room and common kitchen. "Excellent place to stay! Friendly people, beautiful accommodations! Perfectly located and has a rooftop pool to boot! The only criticism would be the mattresses… they were too firm for our liking and it made it hard to sleep, but we like soft beds so anyone else may not have an issue at all. We are already planning our next trip to Malta and plan to book here again"

"Daughter and stayed at Park Heights for 4 nights, we had a wonderful stay! A day before our arrival, I was contacted by the staff to guide me with the self check in, as we were arriving late. "Great location, walkable for everything in Valletta, and easy to get from the hotel to the relatively flat sections of Merchants' Street and Republic Street if the steeper parts of the city are a concern. A nice room and comfortable beds, and incredibly warm, kind, helpful, and welcoming (but never pushy or overbearing) staff. Everyone at breakfast made us feel like we were visiting friends or family, we were truly sorry to say goodbye at the end of our stay!"

"10/10 - FAULTLESS I celebrated my 29th birthday here over a weekend with 22 friends and the hotel accommodated to every single need I requested. They went above and beyond for me, the treatment and customer service I received was like no other. It truly was a faultless trip and that’s down to the efforts of all the staff, but in particular Martina!! Thank you again! Xx"

"Loved Malta stay at Grand Hotel Excelsior. The moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and welcome drink. Raj Kumar was very friendly and helpful from front desk. He guided us on taking the Gozo day trip on our own. Excellent customer service by Raj and all others at the hotel. Reading some negative reviews on the hotel I was bit hesitant on booking, but the hotel exceeded our expectations. Hotel is walkable to the main center of Valleta. Rooms were spacious with daily housekeeping. We enjoyed our stay three days stay with Excelsior. Breakfast was good with ample choices. We would certainly stay here on our next Malta trip. Highly recommend it. "

"Malta is an exceptional country. This hotel, while not in Valletta proper, is on a number of bus routes. Malta has no train so all transportation is by bus or ferry. It's very easy. The hotel is terrific. No complaints. "
