"I had a comfortable stay at Sunbird Capital. Although the rooms are quite old, they are well maintained. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful, it was a delight to have my evening walks. The hotel is in a safe part of the city so it was easy to have walks and jogs nearby the hotel. I may not have enjoyed the meals for the most part, but the traditional lunch buffet on Thursdays was excellent."

"This was a safe location for foreigners. The compound is surrounded by a wall and guarded gate. The facilities were very nice, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good. Their portions are big or you can go a buffet. "

"The Sunbird Lilongwe is a very nice place to stay when traveling. The staff if all amazing - very helpful and accomodating. Yasmin in the restaurant was great at serving our table. The one problem was the Wifi. It would not stay connected and we constantly had to log in. Also turn down service was hit or miss. Some nights we had it some nights we didn't. There was also a beautiful pool and nice fitness center. Overall we would definitely stay again!"

"It’s near everything you need for a one or two night stay. It is an older place and could use some updating. Poor WiFi and poor air conditioner. I asked to be moved from the first room and the second wasn’t much better. What keeps me coming back is the location, the staff and the food. Especially the breakfast which is worth every penny. See you again soon. "

"I greatly enjoyed my time at the Residence for many reasons. Chawa picked me up from the airport. The fee to get into town was less than half the posted charge for taxis. Breakfast each day was both enormous and tasty. Dinner was likewise excellent. The bed was comfortable, which gave me long, deep sleeping. "This little gem truly has everything you could need. I had to book a night unexpectedly due to a transportation emergency and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was welcoming even on a last minute reservation, the restaurant and pool areas were relaxing and the food was fantastic. The room was spacious, clean and in order as well.
