Awesome!!!
This stay was very relaxing. The view of the white river and the peacefulness of sitting on the back porch watching squirrels and birds every morning was great! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to break away from the business of life. I have three kids, 12-13 years of age, and they loved this. We are planning on returning!!! The host was amazing, also. Answered any and all questions I had within minutes of contact.

Spring Break
Comfortable home with all needed amenities. Beds comfortable. Easy access to home, flat paved road great for bicycling. Very quiet, the river moves but silent. Close to Blanchard Springs Caverns and Mirror Lake Falls, both worth the trip. We ate at Spah Grill and shopped at Walmart, both close. Yes the back stairs need care but easy if you go slow. We would come back it was very nice and true to pictures,

Fantastic experience
Had the opportunity to stay in this house while fishing at Jack’s Fishing resort. The house is incredible! Had everything we needed to cook large meals! We spent the evenings on the back porch which has an unbelievable view of the White River rolling by. The 2 sets of Bunk beds in the bottom room had very comfortable mattresses. All of the bedding was way more than expected from a vacation rental. It is obvious the owners care about this property as well as your time there. There is no better place to stay and fish at Jacks in my opinion.

Nice & comfy home on the White River
We very much enjoyed our stay here! The house is roomy & nicely updated inside. Everything you could want to cook a meal is available in the open kitchen. Also, Sam was very quick to respond & accommodating when a need arose. The area (Ozarks National Park) is really beautiful & this home couldn't be better located for spending time there. These are the reasons for the 5 STARS. As others have mentioned, the back deck is very fun to relax on but needs some work too. The stairs are decaying & hand rail is not secure in parts. We also had the porch swing fall down on us when being used. You'll want to spend time out back watching the river flow, bird watch, etc. There are about 6 rocking chairs too, so plenty of room to sit, relax & enjoy. Bottom line, we would definitely stay here again!

Not what I booked
I booked a home with a back porch to sit and relax and enjoy the river view, as well as be able to walk down to deck below to enjoy the river. The back porch was so trashed no one could sit out there. The steps to the deck along the river were broken and not safe to be on. The code to the lock did not work and had to go to resort and get a key. The trash can lids did not lock down and I had to sweep up the trash every morning from the raccoons. The house was clean however the leftover Christmas decorations made us wonder how long it had been since anyone had been there. I don't like to leave poor reviews however I don't want anyone else to book thinking they are going to be enjoying a river view.

Exceptional property
Thirty years ago when we first started coming to Mountain View Jacks Fishing Resort was the first place we stayed. It as so special to be just down from Jacks. And the property had a special feel to it too. This property is renovated beautifully and well stocked!! We loved it.

On the White River
Perfect back porch and deck for watching the lazy river. The house is large and plenty of room for our large and diverse family. Loved fishing from the bank and swimming from the nearby creek with my grandkids. Could use some improvement to back stairs and bedroom decoration but everything else is great. The master bedroom and ensuite bath is awesome

House was great. Plenty of space for big groups.
Loved the location and view off the river. Seemed like the outdoor side of the property could be kept up better. The deck and all the steps going down to it are rotten and not safe. Back porch area could be a nice place to gather but no lighting that was working. Wanted clothes washed and trash took out but no detergents for washing machine and no trash bags. No cleaner for counters when we got done. We normally like to clean the places we rent up to look like we were never there but didn’t have the materials to do so here.

Family Vacation
Really enjoyed the entire area and the house. Interior is incredible and comfortable. Back deck and back porch could use some TLC. Great views and great location. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect home base for a week of mountain adventure. Zero cell signal while at the house. Be prepared to use wifi for calling, text and emails. Not a problem though.

Excellent property, well maintained and clean. Beautiful house and view! The only negative is the stairwell is not kid friendly. Slats to far apart and no way to attach a baby gate. Other than that - perfect weekend. Thank you! See ya next year!

Great Place for Family Time
We were very happy with this property. It was spacious and very clean with all the amenities we were expecting. We would happily rent it again. The only negative is the stairs and railings going to the lower deck need to be replaced. They are a hazard.

Get away with sisters and brother in laws
The house was perfect for six adults. Didnt usr the down stairs. Which would have been perfect for children. The outside needed some cleaning and deck needed some TLC. The steps down to the deck by river was rotten and needed some repair. Definitely an accident waiting to happen. Couldn't get to the river from back yard because of erosion. Really need to do some upkeep on the yard. Very quiet neighborhood. All in all...we had a great stay!!

Girl's Weekend Getaway 2022
Location was great and easy to find and access. House was clean and nicely renovated. Beds and bathrooms were great. Especially enjoyed the great room and kitchen. We were disappointed with the outside areas especially overlooking the river. Rockers were broken and dirty. Miscellaneous "junk" left on the porch. Hillside is in need of a great deal of maintenance. Need to rebuild the railroad tie retaining wall and fix some steps. Get rid of or clean up what appears to have been a water feature/fish pond. It was just plain nasty!

Beautiful area!
The home is spacious and well built, a big plus was it’s on a dead end and very quite street. The large deck and the rocking chairs over looking the beautiful river, was a big hit with the seven of us. The large master bath was beautifully updated, as well as the kitchen! The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, etc. for several people. Beds was very comfortable! We enjoyed the fire pit, all three nights we were there, would’ve been nice to have had some comfortable chairs for everyone to set around it, and maybe some cut wood! (We had to go into town to buy wood!) The house was fairly clean, ( we all are Big on clean ) The deck and carport needed a good cleaning.. several large spiderwebs, and looked like it could use a good sweeping.. The steps going down to the lower deck, by the river has several steps that looked unsafe, also had no chairs on the lower deck. Would have been nice to set on that deck and watch the sunsets on the water. This was a sister trip, that the seven of us take each year, at different locations. We truly enjoyed Mt. View and all the people we met! Overall we had an amazing time, the house accommodated our large group nicely. With just a few improvements this would one amazing vacation home! Yes.. I would recommend it to friends! But would remind to take lawn chairs.

Nice house
This is a good house to stay on the river. Only complaint is the back yard. The fish pond has no fish and attracts bugs. The flies are also terrible. We bought some fly swatters and left them on the refrigerator for the next guest. There needs to be some bug zappers on the back deck with the rocking chairs. It was almost impossible to enjoy being outside. Also, no chairs at the fire pit. Nice house on the inside. Only problem is no bathroom downstairs.
