Enjoy a rare opportunity to stay in an authentic split log cabin in Mountain View, Arkansas(with logs dating back to the late 1700's) complete with a chef's custom kitchen and sweeping panoramic views of the Dodd Mountain valley! Mature, tree-lined, two acre property with circular gravel drive and perched on a rocky bluff. It features a vaulted ceiling main cabin (sleeps 4) with an (adjacent bunkhouse (sleeps 6). Main cabin (central heat/air): 2 bedrooms (1 in upstairs loft and 1 downstairs) with 2 full baths. Chef's kitchen with large island opens to site-built dining table (seats 8) and wide planked hardwood floors throughout; kick back and relax on the covered front porch and back deck with ample Adirondack chair rockers and seating. Upright ice cooler, fire pit, picnic table and grilling area (charcoal grill and gas grill) all with breathtaking bluff-to-valley views. Queen sized bed in the upstairs loft and downstairs bedroom. Each bedroom and den in main cabin has own HD flat screen televisions with satellite and wifi access. Den, kitchen, and loft offer soaring vaulted ceilings with oversized mason river rock wood burning fireplace in den. Adjacent bunkhouse is included. This bunkhouse (heated/cooled) offers 1 queen bed and 2 sets of bunkbeds (sleeps total of 6). Seating + game table and a full bath including tiled shower.

This is a wonderful getaway in a beautiful location. We had a really peaceful and enjoyable getaway, with plenty to do nearby. The hosts were friendly and very responsive to questions. We hope to return in the fall to take in the color from the rockers on the back porch!

Beautiful scenery and amazing view from the bluff, great escape into nature, so quiet and peaceful. The cabin is a classic one of a kind find in itself.

Amazing Getaway
WOW!! This cabin was perfect for our family. The views were amazing and the cabin was stocked with lots of things to keep our older teens busy. The fireplace was perfect to gather around and just spend time together. We are already making plans to come back!

Awesome place to View the stars & storms.
Perfect spot high up on the mountain & still only 15 minutes from town. Flat front yard for kids to play during the day & look through telescope @ night. Beautiful large back porch to watch late night storms. Just a Great spot to stay regardless of what your doing.

Lovely cabin with an amazing view! We enjoyed exploring the area during the day and coming back to the cabin to grill and chill on the back porch. Kitchen is well equipped. Tubs are awesome and deep with lots of hot water. Beds were super comfy. We will be back!

Great Cabin in November
Absolutely loved this cozy, rustic cabin. Great location on the mountain with a constant breeze. Nice size for a group of 4 adults. Great cell phone service, wifi, and tv in den and bedrooms. Enjoyed watching and feeding the birds off the back porch: chickadees, goldfinches, juncos, tufted titmouse, and woodpeckers. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Luxury cabin
We enjoyed the view from the back porch. But the front view was as great also. We saw a lot of wildlife and several fawns with their Mama. I will always come back to this cabin. The bunkhouse was amazing and great for the older kids. I can’t say enough about this cabin. It is an experience that makes lasting memories.

Beautiful country setting!
We arrived on a Friday afternoon for a quite weekend away & it was wonderful! We had our dog with us who is just 10 months old & had plenty of room for her without her leash. The views & property are beautiful!! Will definitely consider going back! Some of the crew wants to go back for Christmas.

Relaxing stay
We enjoyed our stay in this quaint cabin and setting. The view from the back porch started and ended our days. The owners built this cabin and one can tell how much pride they take in it. The setting was just far enough from town and close enough for easy access. The neighbors were nice. There is a pond across the street with a walking trail around, which worked well for early morning walks before everyone else awoke. Lovely area and peaceful stay.

Great Getaway
We came to this cabin for a little getaway with our friends and we loved it!!! The cabin exceeded our expectations in all areas. The kitchen is stocked so well and it was a pleasure to cook in it during our stay. We all loved sitting in the back porch in the rocking chairs and watching the wildlife. A friendly groundhog checked on us every morning from the rocks and the birds were about the only noises we heard. We plan on coming back this Fall with a few more people and taking advantage of the bunkhouse! Great place to stay!!

Charming, authentic cabin
This property is special, the pictures don't convey the breathtaking view from back porch. The interior of the cabin is as pictured and it was comfortable. My only recommendation is to make sure chimney has been swept and opened all the way to avoid smoky interior when in use. Any questions or concerns were quickly answered by the owners, communication was great. We had a memorable stay.

Lovely, authentic mountain retreat
We loved staying at this beautiful cabin overlooking the Ozark Mountains. We were impressed with the use of historical materials in the construction of the cabin, all the while ensuring modern conveniences and comfort. We cooked some delicious meals in the well-appointed kitchen, enjoyed some games on the backporch in the evening, went for long walks in the area, visited the nearby town for some antiquing and shopping, and best of all, built some beautiful wood fires in the impressive stone fireplace in the main room. The beds were comfortable, the cabin's décor was imaginative and authentic, and we had a great long weekend! I would highly recommend this rental and hope to return again someday.

Much needed relaxation
Soooo very cozy, rustic cabin with all the creature comforts and amenities. Loved cat napping in front of the large wood burning fireplace in living room... rain on the metal roof. Excellent kitchen and everything you need to cook, cast iron skillet and all. Owners responded promptly. The view from the backporch, especially sunrises, priceless. Close enough to town, but on a wooded cliff/bluff. You can get to Norfolk, Greeks Ferry, Calico Rock , and Mountain View all from 30 min to an hour 15 min. Will be returning to do some kayaking and skiing this summer.

Perfect weekend
It was so quiet & peaceful. The wood burning fireplace was amazing! We didnt use the bunkhouse but it was super cute. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. Only draw backs were the foundation is falling in the center of the cabin so the shower was a little on a slant & the beds! There were some broken glasses in the cabinet & i cut my hand on one & it could use some curtain on the livingroom windows but it wouldnt stop us from staying again. There was a screech owl one night & man it was loud & so cool! We had just watching "my cousin vinny" the night before so it was super funny. If you know, you know lol! Thanks for a once in a lifetime weekend & a totally new & great experience!!

Something for everyone
We had a family get away for the girls ages 85,55, 24 and 25. The outdoor area was wonderful for reading, watching the sunset, enjoying the fire pit or enjoying the swing. Indoors were board games, books, nice kitchen. We stayed outside lots more than inside. The cabin is really unique and worth the stay. Great memories were made.
