I came to Mountain View with my brother, brother in law, and sister in law. We brought our Jeeps to Jeep Fest. Great base camp. Wonderful beds, super comfy. From grilling steaks to relaxing by the fire pit an all around great trip.

Peaceful getaway in the perfect location
The property was beautiful, well kept, fully stocked, and so close to the creek. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. There was a washer and dryer with laundry soap and softener. There's a balcony/raised porch with seating to relax and chat outside. There's lots of board games and Netflix and Hulu to keep the kids entertained. There's a firepit to roast hot dogs and make smores and a nice propane grill with propane provided to cook out. My family enjoyed all of these things. The creek is just a short walk downhill. It's a little steep, but not too difficult to trek. The walk back uphill was a little more difficult, but could be managed and was worth it to wade and skip rocks in the creek below. You could step out a ways into the water before it was deep and it got deep further out for the more experienced swimmers. I do recommend some water shoes, because the rocks in the creekbed did hurt somewhat to walk on barefoot. The only complaint I have is about GPS. The homeowner warned about it being unreliable and advised to print the directions and I failed to do so which resulted in Maps leading us across the creek onto private property and encountered and extremely ugly and irrate homeowner. I was shocked at how red his face was with anger over an honest mistake. I recommend using the Waze app. My sister used it and found the place without any trouble. Avoid Ledges Rd where the nasty homeowner lived and instead search for QMC Rd.

Cute cabin, but misleading
Cabin was cute, beautiful property, very secluded. Nice fire pit, grill etc. it could have been better cleaned but all in all the cabin was great. The only issue is that the listing said creek access. That was the main reason we chose this listing. We were on the creek and was met by a man named Reggie Harrell who informed us we were trespassing. That he is aware of the cabins listing as creek access but it is actually private property. He was kind about it, but wanted us to leave a review letting other know that there is no creek access with this particular listing..

Disappointed
The home setting was peaceful & beautiful. The cabin needs an overall refresher-walls, floors , & main shower. The cabin was dirty w/dog hair everywhere. The kitchen cabinets, pulls, pots& pans , countertops, gas stove top were all unclean. The front porch furniture was very dusty & had spiderwebs. The walk to swimming hole was thru the pasty& down a hill thru the woods .25 miles. The third bathroom require access thru the second bathroom. The listing was very misleading . The manager did agree send out a housekeeper the following morning after several communications. If I had not unpacked, I would have requested a refund & found other lodging. Beware!

Great family getaway
My parents, myself and my 3 boys all stayed here for 2 nights. Plenty of room for everyone. Sylamore Creek is a short walk away. My boys loved playing there. We did have some trouble finding a clear path to the creek. Those unsteady on their feet might want to stay at the cabin. Cabin was not too far from Mt View. Only minutes away from Angler’s where we enjoyed a great dinner. I gave 4 stars on cleanliness simply because the walls could all use a good wipe down. Walls and door frames dingy around high touch areas. Most people probably wouldn’t notice. We felt safe and comfortable and overall enjoyed our stay here. The hosts provide a lot of info related to the area. FYI Stone county is a dry county so you’ll need to bring in your own alcohol.

Amazing property and location
This was our first time in this area and we could not have chosen a better place to stay! The first night we arrived we had the misfortune of having a flat tire and severe storms. The owners were quick to assist, provide information for the safe room, and guide us the best that they could. We felt so comforted having their assistance. The house is fantastic and we loved the setup and space the cabin offered. There was just about everything you could thing you would need already stocked there for our use. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever slept on and to have the quiet of nature surrounding us was phenomenal. If you are one that needs some noise to sleep, they also provided white noise machines in every room which my boys were appreciative of! The best part by far though has to be the access to Sylamore Creek and getting to enjoy that all to ourselves. To say the view and location were magnificent would still not do it justice. We were able to wade, fish, and enjoy the beauty of nature. We saw otter, geese, and various birds. We loved the proximity to town and Blanchard Springs (which we highly recommend visiting), but also were impressed at the remote feel of the cabin. There are two other properties at the bottom of the mountain, but you wouldn't know it by how quiet it was and only seeing 2 cars the whole time we were there. I can't say enough how much we loved our stay at the Hideaway and am grateful for the owners hospitality!

Beautiful Getaway
The cabin and grounds were perfect. The cabin had everything you needed except for the food. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the eagles fly over. It was so peaceful. Instructions to find the cabin was spot on. Dirt road was steep but not a problem if you took your time. I hope to make that trip again. Owners thought of everything! Loved the layout of the inside!

Hideaway it is!
Creekside Hideaway is just as the name says. It is tucked away on a hilly, curvey, gravel road, but when we got to it we were very impressed. It is far enough out of town for peace and quiet but close enough to town if you need. The cabin was very clean and supplied with so many things. Now the path to the creek gave you a good cardio workout, but who doesn't need a little workout lol. The owners were very helpful with answers and quick response. We enjoyed our stay and when we get the chance we will be back!

Comfortable Stay
This place worked out very well for us. We had family 10 minutes north and the town was 10 min south so great location. Read the reviews about the road being bad, but wasn’t prepared for off roading. It was nerve wracking the first time, but got much more comfortable with coming and going. The layout may be unique to some but it was perfect for us! Husband and I stayed in the big bedroom and our 10 y/o daughter stayed in the small bedroom. Her and I shared that bathroom. My father in law had the other large bedroom off the kitchen. The guys shared the other bathroom. Worked out very well! Thankful for the gate on the porch for the dogs. Love the open floor plan and the kitchen island. I was worried about accessibility for my father in law but the railing was sturdy and he didn’t have any issues. Thanks again for this opportunity!

This cabin on the river was a great place for my family to get away to. You are far enough out you where you feel all alone but in reality only 10 minutes from downtown and restaurants. It rained our whole stay but we enjoyed sitting on the huge porch and watching the rain and the creek.
