The Blue Laurel cabin is nestled in the beautiful little town of Mountain Rest, SC. Relax in the peacefulness & serenity of nature on the private front or back porch of this little piece of heaven in the woods. The cabin accommodates up to 4 guests with a queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa located in the living area. Enjoy the firepit, horseshoe pit or 2 hammocks while grilling. Located 5 minutes from the sparkling Chattooga River and 25 minutes from Highlands-NC, Cashiers-NC, Clayton-GA and only 15 minutes from the quaint little town of Walhalla with a multitude of eateries and fine shops. Come enjoy the many local waterfalls, scenic rivers, hiking trails, and the newly constructed Stumphouse Mountain Biking Park alongside the historic Stumphouse Tunnel. The local Fly shop can assist you with all your fishing accessories. We are a short 18-minute drive to Chattooga Belle Farm which provides a great selection of farm to table staples as well as Wine tasting. Come relax and refresh your soul with us!

Relaxing retreat in nature
This cabin was very nice and well furnished! The host thought of everything - games for us to play, snacks, and even a bottle of wine to welcome us! It was a perfect getaway for just the 2 of us to get away from it all! Wel'l definitely be returning!!

If only you could add more stars to a review. We stay all over the country, in many VRBO’s, and this, By FAR has been our absolute favorite. From the moment we booked- until the day of departure- we felt like family. Our hosts were thoughtful, attentive, kind and generous. The property shows the amount of thought that went into every aspect of the home. Even down to the capped corner of the refrigerator.The cabin was cozy, and the property absolutely beautiful. It truly is a labor of love. We will absolutely be booking again in the future! .
