We were patient when the wifi didn't work and the sink in our room leaked. We specifically booked this hotel for the pool. When I questioned that the pool was closed and that had not been advertised the front desk manager started yelling at me that we could "take our stuff and go". She also kept yelling that it was on the website and it was my fault for not checking. It was on the location specific website BUT not on the Expedia website or the Wyndam website. When I called Wyndam to ask to be relocated to a hotel with a pool they suggested the property we were at. They did not know the pool was closed either. Also, the note on the location site mentioned passes to an adjoining helthclub pool but does not mention that the club pool was not available for children. After the manager yelled at me and the 2 expedia reps that contacted her, we followed her suggestion and took our stuff and left.

The photos online were not what the hotel looks like. The staff were rude. They had no extra blankets for the hid-abed. We asked for more towels because we only no two in the room and they said they didn’t have any clean towels left. The red carpet in the room had stains. The couch had stains on it. The bathroom ceiling was falling off. The bathroom walls were three different colors from all the patches they had done. The hotel stunk. I had to ask three time to get a roll of toilet paper. This place reminds me of the shining.

It was a convenient location and was close to many stores and restaurants. The beds were comfortable, and there was a lot of counter space in the room. When we reached our floor, there was a strange odor. It wasn't as bad in the room, but only went away after we purchased an air freshener. On the first morning, we went down for breakfast, and they didn't have any milk for the three bowls of corn flakes. They didn't have any biscuits for the gravy, and there was no fresh fruit or yogurt. They did have waffles with syrup and sausage links. We chose other breakfast options for the rest of our visit. As I went to check out, I stopped in to see what they were offering for breakfast, while the selection of cereal was limited, it looked like they had restocked their refrigerator with milk and yogurt. I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice in town.

The web site advertised POOL yet when we checked in we were informed that the pool was for 18 and older. We had our 6 year old granddaughter with us and she had been so excited about the pool. She was in tears. We checked out a day early so we could stay at a Hotel with a pool. When we checked out they put a nights credit back on my card, but it disappeared. The credit helped with my anger. Another issue was that we only had 2 towels for 4 people. When I requested more towels I was informed that we would have to come to the front desk to pick them up. On "Saturday we requested towels and our garbage to be picked up in the morning. Late afternoon we had to call down to make the request again. The only positive I can give the Hotel is the Breakfast was very good. I WILL never stay at another Wyndham property.

I have stayed at this facility when It was called The Cotton Tree. Little has changed--it is still clean, quiet and pleasant. We will stay again. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Best part of property was cost. I was staying 10 days and needed something reasonable. The room beds were good and felt the room was fairly clean, minus very old dingy carpet. The real issue to me was common areas and outside. Several mornings there were dirty food dishes left on stairwells. Garbage containers outside were often overflowing for several days without being emptied. Outside doors did not consistently lock and the key card entrance was moot.

Dried urine on toilet seat to begin with. Fingerprint dusting residue in bathroom, suggests something went down in that room recently. The whole facility was probably rocking in the 80’s and looks it. Needs a major facelift, the place is seriously rundown. Chef pro tip for breakfast, hot holding is 135°, at 230° you are cooking your food in the chamfers which is why your eggs and everything else are browning out. Won’t be staying there again!

Whenbwe werentying to check in therebwas a 15 to 20 person group of drunks in the lobby drinking and being very loud, there was no one at the counter to help us. We wondered around the hotel including behind the counter and into the office behind the desk. It took almost a half hour to find someone to checknus in. The whole time listing to the obnoxious drunks in the lobby. In the parking lot was a building that was having a rave party it sounded like. Our room had 1 towel for 2 night stay and no toilet paper.
