"This was our 1st time going to Deep Creek Lake. They allowed us to check in a little early which was wonderful! The lobby area was beautiful and had games to play at the tables. Our suite was nice and clean. Some of the lights didnt work so it felt dark in our room. The bed upstairs was very firm. The kitchen was fully stocked. We liked having the sofa bed and huge TV. "We did stay off season during the week so the property was quiet. Unit was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. The fireplace was not working and it was reported and no one fixed it or communicated about the issue. There was not a TV in the bedroom. Overall good experience and would stay again."

"The room was comfortable however, our room was not ready for check-in at 3 PM and we were not able to get into our room until close to 7 PM. The staff did not keep us updated and told us they had no idea when our room would be ready. The property itself feels dated and has a dirty feeling to it. The staff were not overly friendly or entirely helpful when it came to check in or finding our rooms or getting dinner. We will likely not stay again at the resort as a result of our experience."

In general the overall condition of the grounds was disappointing: railing posts and caps need to be painted or replaced (both in this unit and throughout the property), lights on concrete steps from parking lot are broken and dangling, several loose planks in steps from deck to the lakeside lawn."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Owl's Nest. We were able to check in early because the host communicated when the property was ready. The cabin is clean, cozy and packed with amenities and fun! We played basketball, kayaked, completed a beautiful wooden puzzle, enjoyed 2 family movies and most importantly relaxed!
