"We had a really great stay for Valentine’s Day weekend. Only complaint we have is we both had sore backs after 2 nights, the beds are not comfortable at all. We talked about going back a few times a year but the beds may be enough of a reason not to unfortunately. The staff and everything else were wonderful! "

"The Tavern was unavailable due to refurbishing; hopefully the rooms are next. Our room was spacious, but clearly a bit worn and in need of a facelift. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and overall our stay was very pleasant. Front desk staff was gracious and friendly, as was our breakfast host."

"I booked this place for my two older children and myself and it is such a cute place! We had a full kitchen, two seperate bedrooms and two bathrooms, which comes in handy. Its in a quiet area with no traffic noise. I just want to give a heads up that there are no elevators, so if anyone is physically impaired, make sure you request a first floor. "The renovations for this hotel were a great surprise! I loved the easy-to-clean flooring (no carpet) in the rooms! The room was clean which is my #1 concern. I loved that we could do a 1-night stay as our schedule didn’t allow for more. It was a convenient drive to Gunstock and the kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub. The woman who worked at the front desk was such a sweet and welcoming person! She was very accommodating and friendly!"

Beautiful Property...Incredible Value

"I don't typically leave reviews, and I don't have the time to list all of the amazing things about this property, but most are covered in the previous positive reviews that others have left. My family was able to settle right in and enjoy so many different nooks and crannies of this incredible property. It would take multiple weeks to be able to fully use all of the thoughtful seating/gathering areas and activities galore. We were still finding so many great spots and games the day we departed. Felt like home away from home, and getting to and from Gunstock was super easy.Overall, ownership was super accommodating and very responsive. Not an inexpensive rental, but somehow still blew us away in terms of value. This is an absolutely perfect place to spend time with friends and family. Thank you again!"

Beautiful home and setting

"We stayed for six nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The views of the lake from the kitchen and common areas are unbeatable. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable. We didn’t mind the steps from the parking area, but as noted, they wouldn’t be good for people with mobility problems. We would have appreciated a binder with all the necessary information on the home, area restaurants, etc, including instructions on using the wood burning stove (we tried using it but had to stop due to smoke). Would we stay here again? Yes!"

"This home was wonderful! We stayed with 4 kids and 6 adults and had plenty of space. The lake views were breath-taking, as were the trips up and down the stairs to the lake - what a workout! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!"

"We had a great week with our kids and grandkids! Plenty of sleeping areas, and large living space for all 12 of us. We would have liked to have a bigger (flatter) lawn area for outdoor games, but the lake certainly made up for it. Host was attentive and responsive. We would stay here again. "
