"Must book a room with Mountain View. The view is amazing. Room is much spacious than I expected. Clean & Neat. All the staffs (including the cleaners) are super friendly and helpful. I am glad that I decided to stay with Hermitage Hotel. Unforgettable experience and highlight of my NZ trip."

"This was a lovely place to stay. Really appreciated the fireplace being on when we arrived. The room was well laid out and very clean. Only complaint was the scaffolding around the place (was not noisy though)."

"We were very pleased with Glenfern Villas. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with a great covered parking area. This came in very handy since it was pouring rain. The staff was excellent and provided advice when our route was closed due to flooding."

Staying in the village was definitely the way to go when visiting Mt Cook. The alternative was to stay in Twizel, which is 60kms away. We were here the only day it was clear sunny skies, the only day in over two weeks.

Heavy rains, thundershower when we were visiting there so we never saw Mt. Cook!

We went in early April and did the Ball Hut hike. Well worth the 6 hr round trip to the bottom of Tasman Glacier right below the mountain
