"The hotel is located on top of the hill and the town, that’s approximately 20 min walk down a well bricked path is sleepy… It is not the hotel’s fault, but nonetheless the town only has a few shops open. Although, I believe most visitors are here for the open market or to hike the castle ruins beside the hotel. Overall, the hotel is excellent. Customer service is great and the restaurant in the hotel is superb regardless that it’s the only show with a 20 min walk area. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway or a relaxing weekend adventure. Thank you."

"Room was nuce, clean, perfect for 2 people. Our room had a small kitchenette with a stovetop burner, small sauce pan, and a few other kitchen supplies. It worked well for breakfast but we opted to go out for supper. Overall the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. And the paid covered parking was acceptable."

"Lovely place to stay and relax, great pool and sauna facilities. Nice restaurant and bar and easy parking. Nothing else around except a separate Italian restaurant which was basic but served fab food at good prices - a nice alternative to the hotel’s own restaurant. Safe and easy parking."

"Peter the property owner met us at the door and was very polite. The apartment was upstairs but very easy access and was very beautiful. "

"It was clean although the walls were very thin. Area was a bit weird, also no staff on site and the balconies are all joined (no separations). For a solo female traveller I would think twice about staying here again."

"Na zoveel positieve reviews waren wij erg benieuwt naar dit huis in het voor ons nog onbekende Saarland/Duitsland. Bij aankomst werden we heel hartelijk ontvangen door de gastheer en gastvrouw. Zij wonen aan de voorkant waar meer dan voldoende parkeerplek is. Via een kort steil paadje kwamen we bij het vakantie verblijf aan de achterzijde. Het uitzicht is prachtig, beetje belemmerd door de inmiddels wat grotere bomen, maar verder super mooi. De plek voor het huis is niet groot, maar heeft een heerlijk zitje om lekker te genieten. Wauw, wat een huis ! Voor ons met 2 echt wel groot. Een grote slaapkamer met kingsize bed. Een flinke badkamer. In de ruime woonkamer stonden (anders dan op de foto`s) 2 nieuwe banken en een eethoek. Verder nog een aparte keuken met echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Op tafel in de kamer stond een welkomsmandje met wijn en lekkernijen, een super lief gebaar ! We voelden ons gelijk welkom. Wat ons opviel was hoe netjes en super schoon alles was. De gastheer en vrouw zijn heel erg vriendelijk en aardig, en erg in de weer voor je als je ergens vragen over hebt. De locatie is rustig, maar in nabijgelegen dorpen is alles te halen wat nodig is. Wij hebben veel in de omgeving gezien, en gefietst. Vlakbij het Felsenweg gewandeld. Echt een prachtige route, met veel afwisseling en hoogte verschillen. Trek wel stevige schoenen aan. Kortom wij hebben ons super vermaakt, en kunnen ook niet anders beamen... een dikke 10 voor alles !! Nogmaals veel dank Fam Spanier"
