*****NEW FOR THE SEASON - Lightning fast Starlink internet with speeds up to 250mbps that should allow anyone with work call or videoconferencing needs to be able to comfortably handle that while at the house.

This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home is truly an entertainer’s dream. The chef’s kitchen features granite countertops, a double refrigerator and opens up to a full granite bar and game room. The master bedroom upstairs features a walk-in closet and a full en-suite bathroom with shower and soaking tub. There is a second bedroom and full bath upstairs. The finished walkout basement, complete with two additional bedrooms, bathroom, large laundry room, wine cellar and designated home theater provides additional space to spread out. The home is full of high-end finishes, custom stone, marble and tile and comes fully stocked with all cookware, glassware, utensils and small appliances. It is perfect for both a quick getaway, as well as a long-term stay.

This house is meant for large family gatherings as well as for someone looking for complete privacy. The 7 acre lot borders the Mount Mansfield State Forest, providing direct access to thousands of acres of wilderness, Vermont's Long Trail, exceptional views and hiking/snow shoeing opportunities.

While deceivingly remote, the property is a short drive to a number of local destinations. World-class skiing is available at Stowe Resort (25 minutes), Smugglers Notch (30 minutes) and Jay Peak (50 minutes), along with the Trapp Family Lodge (20 minutes) cross-country network and numerous nearby VAST access points. Picturesque hiking trails and waterfalls, incredible fishing, and gorgeous golf courses are also nearby.

Foodie? You’ll be just minutes from downtown Morrisville or Stowe’s vibrant restaurant scene, as well as Rock Art Brewery, Stowe Cider and Smugglers’ Notch Distillery.

Finally, we should note that the house has a whole-house generator to keep the lights on during winter storms. The house can theoretically remain off-grid for about a week, though the limits of the generator have not been pushed - power outages are typically resolved in 24 hours or less.

Private enourmous house
This house is/was absolutely stunning! The host, Anton was amazing as well! We took our two kids up to VT to see Ben & Jerrys & Cabot, which we did, but each time we left we could not wait to get back to the house! You literally can get lost in this house. My family's favorite part was the movie theater. I could not figure out how to get the lights in the wine cellar to work, but we just went in to check it out so it made no difference to us. Everything in the house was perfect, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, you name it!! Huge thank you to Anton for making our vacation one that we will never forget! To have a house such as this, and allow pets is unheard of! Thank you so much!

Nice location
This was our first time in Vermont and we really looked forward to our stay at this property. We were excited for the remote location in the hopes of seeing more of the area's wildlife! Also that it wasn't too far from the attractions we were planning on seeing. We were disappointed that this VRBO was not the cleanest and needed some updating. The first night we took a shower in the master bedroom, the seal on the shower door was partially hanging off, which caused water to leak out of the shower onto the floor. We had to wash & dry the carpets because of this. Also the shower floor had cracks in it and what appeared to be mold around the inside floor. There was also a "musty" smell to the house. The smell of the kitchen chair pads was disgusting! My brother dropped something on the floor of his bedroom and could not believe how dusty and dirty the floor was under the bed. We think this house has a lot of potential if it would be cleaner and better maintained. Just an FYI - we had stayed in another VRBO in Maine the week before and it was very well maintained and was excellent in cleanliness.

What a great fall retreat!
We spent 3 days enjoying the fall weather on the huge back porch. Enjoyed a movie one evening in the home theatre and played a little pool to pass time after dinner. Only 20-30 minute drive from all different types of attractions. This house can really accommodate large groups with multiple rooms and huge refrigerator and freezer. We hope to come back in the future!!

Nice house with lots of amenities
We had a really nice stay at this 4 bedroom house last weekend. It has a pool table, a theater with 6 movie chairs and a large deck. It’s close to Stowe so very convenient. There is a supermarket in the nearby town so groceries were easy to get. My only suggestion is that he label the light switches. There are so many that is tricky to find the one you are looking for.

Remote and Epic House
My friends and I were looking for a large home that was close to Smuggler's Notch and Stowe for disc golf and mountain biking and we found it here. Not only is it secluded with plenty of space outdoors for activities, but also has tons to do inside if the weather was bad which it rained each night. The pool table was so much fun ("Stumpy" is the name of the small pool cue BTW), and the theater room with a collection of over 100 movies was awesome. The beds and baths were also well appointed, and the nicest of any rental property I've stayed in. Close to Smuggs, Stowe, Van Trapp and Alchemist breweries, and the Ben and Jerry's factory. We will definitely utilize this spot again the next time we come up to Vermont regardless of the time of year (although I question getting out in heavy snow due to location).

Wonderful
My family and I loved the house. My son especially loved the theater room and all the movies to chose from. My mom and I loved the showers and my son loved the master tub. We brought our dogs and they were so happy with all the space to run wild. Talking with with owners was easy and they responded very quickly. All the places we ate were awesome. My only regret was we never made it to tour the Ben and Jerry’s building. Next time! Hopefully. I would love to spend another week at this beautiful house. Thank you for letting us this time.

Relaxing Vacation
We could not have been more happy with our stay in this home. Anton was very responsive and check in was simple. The home is extremely spacious and in great condition. It is the perfect place for anyone looking to feel off the grid, but also have options should you feel like getting out. We used the house as a hole base for hiking and brewery trips around the area. We loved coming back to the house each day and feeling the peace and isolation thst the property provides. It was also our first trip with our dog and he seemed to be as relaxed as his parents throughout the trip. We would recommend this home and would book again.

Unassuming Gem
I almost do not want to write this review on fear it will encourage others to rent and will make it more difficult for my family to come back! This property was fabulous. The house is nicely tucked away off the road with a large yard. Which we loved because we always travel with our dog. The house itself actually looks somewhat small from the outside, but don't let it fool you. Once inside it is a large space for all the people and activities you may have planned for your trip. The kitchen was well appointed considering it's a rental and so were the bathrooms, with plenty of towels for everyone. We enjoyed the pool room and the theater. The beds were very comfortable and the Jacuzzi tub was exactly what the doctor ordered after a day on the slopes. This was a perfect retreat for me and my family! Thank you for sharing such a cool property with us.

Great location, AWFUL smell
The bummer of this review is that if the downstairs didn’t smell of the septic tank and the second bathroom didn’t leak above the commode, all would have been grand. Alas the stink of the septic system ruled out the use of one of the downstairs bedrooms. The owner mentioned that this had happened in the past and if I had brought it up there is a fix, however there is something said for being made aware of the potential issue. Suffering through this is not recommended.

Family ski trip
The house was perfect for our family of 6 for a ski trip to Stowe. The drive to and from the resort to go skiing during the day was easy. And we had a comfortable and relaxing time in the house when we returned, watching a movie, playing pool, reading and just hanging out. There was plenty of room for all of us and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is great for a nice romantic getaway for 2 or a great family gathering. Loved the house and all of the amazing little touches. Enjoyed the romantics wine room and the screening room! Watched movies and enjoyed the captain chairs and surround sound. Played several rounds of pool lots of fun. It’s quiet yet a easy ride to Smugglers Notch. Even if you don’t ski enjoy Smugglers resort cute stores and nice restaurants. Highly recommend this home and hope to get back in the near future. Thanks for the stay!

Fabulous rental!!
What a wonderful house to rent - will definitely book this again! Anton was super responsive/helpful with our questions. We stayed over Christmas and due to a storm, power was out for 26hrs in the area - this house has a full house generator and we stayed on full power the entire time! How lucky we were - I will now always rent a house with a generator in Vermont in the winter. The setup of the house has a perfect layout for a large gathering - with easy flow in and out of the pool room and kitchen/living area. The theater has a popcorn machine - such fun! There is radiant heating in the floors - kept our feet warm! The backyard is wooded and easy to hike up to the top of a hill for a panoramic view. We also used the fire-pit in the snow, keeping us warm while outside! The location has lots of privacy and quiet. Perfect getaway! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention - CORK Restaurant and Natural Wine Shop in Stowe - a must visit and has a fabulous wine selection and extremely knowledgeable wine director - Katie.

This property has it all.
This property was perfect. There were 5 adults in our party including two couples. The property was spacious and much nicer than I even anticipated. The furnishings were high end. Everything we needed was supplied. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything, including things that other properties don’t usually offer like detergent & fabric softener, plenty of paper towels and toilet paper, coffee filters etc. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans etc. We didn’t need anything other than the food we were going to cook and there were condiments there like mustard, mayo etc. The movie theatre with surround sound was amazing with so many DVD’s to choose from. It was the best home theatre setup I’ve seen. We also used the pool table. The bathrooms were amazing as well and so was the kitchen. There were plenty of books and games and a piano. We had a couple of issues which Anton responded to immediately. It would be helpful if there was a book with instructions for the thermostat, the codes for the doors, contact numbers etc but that would be my only suggestion. The property was amazing and I would definitely stay there again.

Rural VT home close to everything
We had a group of 6 - 3 couples from FL, NJ, and ME joining one another for a friends reunion. This place was perfect for us. We had so much space (plus some). The house is spread out so everyone had their own area, which was nice for those who wanted to go to bed earlier, wake up earlier, etc. The outdoor space is phenomenal, not to mention the STARS! We had clear skies each of the three nights we were there and we saw the Milky Way in all its glory as well as Jupiter and Saturn. It was breathtaking especially for those who live near cities where the stars are minimal. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to make meals and there is a large 12 cup coffee pot - great for large groups like ours. There is a grocery store only 4 miles away where it is easy to stock up and fill the HUGE fridge and freezer. The one downside to the kitchen is the minimal lighting but that was so minor. The Stowe/Waterbury area are a short drive away with so many things to see and do! Then you can come back to this super quiet retreat. There is a theater area in the basement which looks amazing. The projector was broken while we were there and normally I wouldn’t even want to watch a movie with the night sky show that was provided but it was the novelty having a theater that made me think about it. Honestly, it was no big deal at all and the host felt terrible. The host was super communicative prior to the trip as well as during the trip. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

Large home, close to nature!
This home was very large, even for two families! Three of the beds were sleep number beds with adjustable firmness, which was a pleasant surprise. The kitchen had an enormous fridge, and the dining room was easily large enough to seat 7(with another chair from the breakfast nook). The theater was nice and comfortable, unfortunately the bulb in the projector blew out before we got there and the replacement bulb had not arrived before we left. The sound system would have been amazing if we had watched a movie! The property is quiet, and dark at night! We heard coyotes, several kinds of owls, birds, and bats. The stars looked amazing with so little light in the sky. Stowe is a very short drive(25 minutes) and so is Morrisville. An hour in the car brings you to the sights and shopping in Burlington. Would totally stay here again!

Large, fun house with cool amenities
The home is in excellent condition. It's huge, with four large bedrooms and many common areas including a cool home theater room. The bathrooms are really nice, particularly the showers. My daughter and I loved the extra large gourmet kitchen. The property is fairly remote (by my upstate NY standards, probably not by Vermont standards!). It's 10+ minutes to the closest town/gas etc. That said, we chose the property because of its relative proximity to Stowe and Waterbury while also being relative close to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Exploring the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and really good casual dining in Morrisville were fun bonuses of the location. Anton was responsive to our questions and we felt very welcome.

Mountain Retreat
I am aiming to make this review as helpful as possible for those on the fence about renting this home and also those that do take the plunge, what to expect. The pictures shown in this post are very representative of what you will see in this home. What you don’t see is the enormity of this place. You could easily have 8 vacationers hang out comfortably and still have room to breathe. The land is exceptional and fun to walk around. There are a few downed trees from wind but nothing dangerous to speak of at the time of this review. The back deck gets the morning sun, so coffee at the break of dawn is the perfect way to start each day. There is a drip coffee maker and some coffee. A microwave, oven, ginormous fridge and freezer, toaster and really every utensil you would need to cook at “home.” The theater is pretty awesome. The hall lights leading in to the theater are at the top of the stairs that lead to the garage right outside the theater door. The DVD player is accompanied by at least 100 blu ray movies to choose from but you can bring your own. The “tuner” has a DVD button you can press and the surround sound will work, as well. It’s truly an awesome experience. There are two splits on the main wall of the home that manages to cool down the majority of the home. The bedrooms do not have a/c in them but the home managed to stay around 75 that we set the splits at. The remote is on the wall for those and works for both. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and the remote in one room will work for the other fan if you choose to use them. The downstairs rooms do run chilly which is great for smoldering hot days. There is still some work being done on the home in various spots but quite honestly it is negligible and does not do anything to take away from the home or experience. Now…. ….The drive is a little rough. If you hit the road and it feels like you are riding a jack hammer for 3 miles, you are on the right path. Some GPSs, like mine, put me in the wrong direction. Just pay close attention to where it is telling you to go. Stowe is about 20 minutes away and is about as close to a Hallmark village as you can get. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc well within 15-20 of this location. It is truly a unique and excellent place. Anton is most helpful should you have any questions.
