"We had a great time at the Maplecroft Bed and breakfast in Barre, Vermont. Our host was very accomodating and the room and breakfast were both outstanding. There was a big snowstorm while we were there, which required me to sweep off/shovel out my own car (to which I would never object). However, we then left for the day and I wonder what might have happened if we had returned and found someone else in the parking spot we had shoveled out, requiring us to do it all over again. No other guest did...

"Stowe is firmly implanted in my brain as an amazing place to visit, and the Timberholm plays a big part of this. Just a few minutes drive outside of the town centre, it's easily accessible and yet far away enough that it feels secluded and peaceful. What a gorgeous lodge too, with all kinds of activities and a huge fireplace with roaring flames if you just want to chill.
