The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. Well equipped in the main, though take your own loo rolls! Booked through Hotels.com but actually through Sykes Cottages, who offered great service on the phone. "The house was a great space in a great location. 5 minute walk to town and beach, lots of parking at the house. Lovely downstairs area and bedrooms were very spacious with comfy beds. The house generally had everything you could ask for but there were a few things we ran out of that could do with looking at - we had minimal toilet paper and bin bags so had to go out and buy more and we had no hand towels in any bathrooms but we made do as drying towels are provided, we also couldn’t get the iron...

"We were surprised that we had to pay extra for heat in the property by purchasing heat credit. The property had a horrible Mildeu smell, which was present even with the windows open. Inside, it was very tired and very small. There is no way it sleeps five comfortably. The larger bed in the main bedroom was uncomfortable with a worn-out foam mattress. "We all loved this house. It was spacious, homely, warm and comfortable, with quality fittings and furniture and everything we could wish for to make the stay enjoyable (despite the horrible weather!) Well located too, on a quiet road but close to the town centre. The welcome cake and prosecco was a lovely touch and if we stay in Abersoch again as a family, we will certainly choose the same holiday home. "
