"Great location for bus and trains. Staff are excellent and we received a friendly response from Lisa when we checked in. She was informative and helpful. Evening meal was delicious and presented very well. We stayed 6 days and breakfast buffet was delicious and plenty of choices. Only comment was there is no decaf coffee. However this was not a big issue due to the variety of teas available - our favourite was ginger and honey black tea. The cost of the accommodation is very reasonable and I would recommend it to others. I would certainly return without hesitation."

"The hotel is very good value for money, it's clean, right in the central area, has free coffee, tea and still/sparkling water by the reception. Breakfast is very good and included in the price. The room was a bit dated but overall was good with comfortable beds Staff is very friendly and helpful Swimming pool and sauna area is also quite good"

"Lovely hotel, old feel. Dinner of soup salad and bread included, as well as breakfast. Walking distance to train and beautiful Kalmar Castle. Food was great, room lovely. Staff made all the difference—lovely and welcoming. This hotel is a gem!"

"The apartment worked for our small family very well. Separate bedrooms is such a plus when traveling with an adult child. International travelers should be aware of a few things: there are no soaps, shampoo, etc included unless a previous guest leaves some behind. AND there are no linens / towels automatically included, they must be ordered ahead of time and paid separately. If you don’t know this and roll in late and the restaurant is closed you will be sleeping on beds with no linens. AND you are expected to clean the unit top to bottom unless you pay for an extra fee for cleaning. They say they will charge you for having to clean the unit if it does not meet their standards. When we checked in I found the toilet was dirty with dirty tissues in the bowl and toilet paper plastered to the top rim. So I don’t know how closely they inspect the units. The property is in very good condition, our unit had no mechanical or maintenance problems. There was a table and 4 chairs available on a private porch along with a grill. Plenty of parking for everyone. A very short walk down to the small beach. This property would be great for a relaxing vacation, the island has everything you need with groceries and shopping. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so i can’t comment on it, but they did have a wood fired oven for pizza. I would stay here again knowing what I know now, but definitely plan differently. Also having to pay for linens & cleaning ups the base price. "

"I stayed here for Ironman Kalmar and cannot recommend it enough. I changed my travel plans last minute to arrive a day early and stay in a different local hotel. I asked if early check-in would be possible as I had to vacate the first place by 11am, and the receptionist was so friendly and helpful in putting a note on my reservation, and then letting me know the next morning I could check in before 11 because a room was ready. The breakfast was phenomenal. They opened up at 4am on race morning and had everything I thought I needed plus more. (Fruit smoothie, ginger juice shot with chili, pancakes with real maple syrup, so many different breads, meats, cheese, fruit, salads etc. in addition to your typical breakfast.) Finally, checkout the day after the race was delayed 2 hours, which I've never experienced at any other race, but which would've been much appreciated had I not opted to stay an extra day (specifically to avoid having to pack up and be out by 10:30am)."
