"Overall a disappointing experience. The spa was very nice, but the restaurant dinner buffet had lukewarm food for a relatively expensive price in Hungary. The breakfast buffet was also lukewarm. After breakfast and before checkout time we returned to our room to find our keycards didn't work anymore. Eventually they reactivated them so we could get back in our room to collect our stuff. At checkout the staff were adamant I hadn't paid via Hotels.com even though I thought I had, and they swiftly prepared my invoice and gave me the payment terminal. While I was paying I was checking my Hotels.com emails and bank account, and only after the payment had gone through I found that I had indeed already paid via Hotels.com. The staff were fortunately able to reverse the transaction, but offered no apology for the mistake. We wouldn't stay here again."

"The owners are very friendly and helpful. Their cottage, where we stayed, is spotless, very stylish and cosy. In the garden you can enjoy the sound of the nature. Very, very recommended!"

"The hotel is a boutique hotel with a lot of old pieces of furniture and the rooms have different looks. The check-in staff was professional. It’s good to have an inside and outside pool as well. We got towels and bathrobes as well. The food was nice. We had a lot of choices for breakfast as well. It is a child friendly place. "

"After our 17 hours of flight it was a delight to spend our first day in this beautiful environment! Absolutely enchanting, peaceful and quiet! The staff of the hotel and the restaurant were amazing! Unfortunately the weather was terribly hot (went above 40 that day), but when we requested a fan in our room by the time we got back it was delivered. The restaurant was also first class. The food was delicious and the service was beyond our expectations! The waitresses might be young but don’t let that fool you, they were very professional! The castle grounds are beautiful, well kept and tranquil! We will definitely stop at Karolyi Kastely again our next visit to Hungary! Thank you for your hospitality and amazing service!"
