"This place was perfect for our stay and very well maintained and equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. It is a great place for families and the walking/skiing trails around the house were a real benefit. You can ski down to the university which has a lot of nice groomed trails. "

"We stayed at Comfy Caribou Lodge from March 18-25, 2025 and had an absolutely amazing experience! This cabin was so much more than we had expected! It was one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed and had everything we needed for our stay. We saw the Northern Lights every night that we were there right from the porch. It was far enough from the city to feel secluded, but close enough to go into town if we needed anything. The hosts, Spencer and Meera, were especially wonderful. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some recommendations as well. They provided us with snacks when we arrived, which was a welcome sight after traveling all day. The beds were very comfortable and the house was so cozy! It just made our entire stay even better knowing we had such a great place to come back to after we spent a day exploring the city. We only wish we could have stayed longer. I’ve already recommended the Comfy Caribou Lodge to friends who are looking to visit Alaska. We definitely recommend this cabin. It will be everything you are looking for and more!"

"We were visiting family living in the Goldstream area north of Fairbanks, and this location was ideal for us. The place is spacious and clean. It's semi rural Alaska, so don’t look for fancy amenities but we found our stay here to have everything we needed"

"The rental is clean and comfortable. We were staying in Alaska to see the lights and this spot is very easy access to Murphy's dome, which was perfect. Whenever we needed to rest up from the long nights out the property was quiet and relaxing. It could not have been better for what we were looking for."

"We loved the cabin, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with. We asked for a few extra towels, and they arrived in just a few short hours - we really appreciated this. There are a few things I would have liked to know before we arrived, but they would not have deterred us from staying - we just might have been better prepared. 1. There is really no closet or dresser to unpack in and we had to leave everything in our suitcases. If I had known that I would have probably packed a little differently. 2. We are campers and no stranger to rustic bathroom facilities, but the very narrow path through the snow to the outhouse was an ankle twister. If I had known that in advance, I might have taken the host up on his offer for an inside "camp toilet" for an extra fee.If you are prepared for those few things I would highly recommend this cabin. It feels very rural, but still within a short driving distance to town and several landmarks. We had a wonderful time visiting Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks, and Murphys Dome. At Murphy's Dome we saw the most spectacular full clear sky Aurora Borealis display! "

They have thought of everything, the whole process was smooth and easy, and even things we didn’t think of were there and ready for us. If you wanna come up and experience, Fairbanks in the winter, I highly recommend you book this chalet."

"Dan and Clarity were amazing hosts and easy to communicate with! The cabin was perfect us as it was far enough outside of town to be nice and peaceful, but close enough for all of our outings, and it was also close to Murphy Dome which was an amazing spot for viewing the aurora on cloudless nights!"

"Our group of 9 adults had enough space to be together in the same room without feeling crowded, and there were enough rooms for each couple to retreat to their room. At night we went outside and was able to see the northern lights from the deck. I recommend an all wheel drive to get to the property.The grocery store is about a 15 minute, and I would recommend getting groceries before going to the house."
