"Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Or perhaps BECAUSE of the chilly weather? While we did get out to explore (Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks) during the sunny days, we slept in late each morning and returned in the afternoon to curl up by the fireplace with books and music. We cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined together “at home.” The beds were very comfortable and made with high quality linens. Showering was even a treat! The collections on display kept us entertained throughout our stay. I’m sure we didn’t take in everything over the three days. At night we relaxed in the hot tub, under the stars. We look forward to visiting again during a different season so we can see more of the local area. "

"Everything in here seems to have been considered. There's a bit of everything for anyone and just when you think you've found everything there is to find you'll discover some new twist. The space is very unique and offers a lot of room to sprawl during the day. The bedroom space is a little 'cozy' so I wouldn't expect much intimate time if you bring others. Beyond that the surrounding are is very nice. There's a bit of traffic to contend with along the lake but is generally quite silent. The nearby town has most things you'd need but groceries were a little light compared to a larger store so bring any food you'd want to definitely have on hand. Great stay overall, will definitely want to go back. "

"Very accommodating and friendly. Our room is updated and clean and very comfortable. We traveled with a service dog and were welcomed both in the motel and outside dining. Staff is wonderful! "

"Two couples for a few days in Davis and a great stay at a fantastic property! The space was perfect for the four of us. We cooked most meals in and the kitchen was well equipped. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck for cocktails and using the hot tub when the weather was cooler. The fireplace inside made for cozy movie watching nights. You can tell a lot of care has gone into this property and we appreciated staying there. Would highly recommend!!"
