"The check in was fabulous and we had a lovely room (Room 1) that actually has a kettle! We had a terrace with views of Xativa Castle and also the town and valley, all framed by pine and cypress trees. Deb had injured her knee so was able to sit on the terrace, read her book and chill as we watched the sunset. We had breakfast both mornings at the hotel and the breakfast was fabulous and we ate far too much delicious food. After breakfast I had a wander around the grounds. The views really were spectacular, especially with the early morning mist, and you could see sections of the town walls stretching from the valley up to the castle. We ate one dinner in the hotel as Deb had already perused the menu, although I was somewhat sceptical. There were weird things like sea urchin, pig's ear, lamb gizzards and duck liver but I opted for sea bass and Deb had rabbit lasagna. The food was just magnificent. Right from the bread and olive oil, with the type of oil and its characteristics being explained to the main course and desserts there was nothing I could improve upon. I had two desserts - a cheesecake and a hazelnut mousse and both were fabulous. We left feeling full but not bloated, a lovely way to round off Deb's birthday. Our room was fabulously quiet, service throughout the hotel was impeccable, the room had modern heating/cooling if needed and a modern bathroom. "Clean and quiet. A real gem right next to a working lighthouse. The view of the water was fantastic. March is off season so it was quiet and not crowded not sure how crowded it would be in the summer season. Restaurants are within walking distance. A car would help w groceries for sticking the fridge. I would stay here again."

"La Galiana is a place I will return; I truly enjoyed the view, the accommodations, and the spa. The staff was very friendly, from the front desk team, Olga y Francisco, the service staff at the restaurant everyone was very professional and cordial. My only subjection was that the bar should have wine bottles saves pumps to keep bottles fresher once the bottle is open, but overall it was a great experience and the golf course, the pro Pedro, and the team at the club house were friendly and accommodating. "The hostess had great communication, was responsive and offered recommendations for local attractions. It was a lovely location and I’m sure the area would be much more lively during the summer, we went off-season and it was quite cold but still a beautiful view! Easy to take the bus into Valencia as well."

"The staff were warm, attentive and helpful. This was especially important for me because it was our first time traveling to Valencia Spain. I was there with my family to run the Valencia marathon. On the day of the race, they prepared a breakfast buffet early to cater to the needs of the runners. I was be happy about that. Very happy with Bartos. "
