"Stayed 3 nights. Two retired men who fish near Burney this time of the year. The Bungalow was very clean and has everything you may want or need. The site makes you feel very secure and the enclosed small boat & trailer parking in the back yard area worked out perfect by not having to bring all your fishing gear into the house each night. You can’t beat the location for access and nearness to food shopping. Great, well supplied kitchen. Highly recommended by us and hope to stay there again."

"Great spot to fish and access the state and national parks. The sun room looking over the river is a wonderful spot to play cards or enjoy a meal. We spent so much time in that room as it was just a beautiful view. Will continue to go there every year i can."

Luxurious Hobbit Hole and Second Breakfast!

"Burrowdale is a gem -- a collection of stunning hobbit homes that are high end, plush, and thoughtfully detailed -- all nestled into a gorgeous countryside. We delighted in the sound of crickets, the smell of sweet grasses, the Milky Way overhead, and the generous breakfast. My tall husband was delighted by the large shower which was helpfully elf-lord sized. We have raved about this stay to everyone and only regret we didn't have more time to sink into the experience. Don't hesitate to book, this is a treat."

What a wonderful stay

"We were heading north on a ten day tent camping trip and needed a place to stay for a night where the loaded down truck would be safe over night. So glad we found this place. My 10 year old son and I very much enjoyed the stay and it is as expected, super cool. Staying in a hobbit hole has now been checked of the old bucket list. Definitely recommend staying here and I’m sure we will be back. "

Fantastic Fishing Holdiday!

"What can I say? This cabin literally has famous Hat Creek in the backyard! It gives easy access to Baum Lake, lower Hat Creek, Pit River and Burney Falls. The house is clean and well appointed. Layout is perfect for families. We had a great time and hope to come back again!"
