Great location and quiet
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location in the old part of the city. It is very safe and nice and quiet (except one night a very loud service truck was making lots of noise at 4 am).

O hotel é muito bem localizado, no entanto, apesar de ter sido reformado, o quarto que ficamos necessitava de uma série de pequenos reparos. Cortina emperrada e suja, colchão velho e com buraco, chuveiro com pouca água, ralos entupidos, penduradores de toalha caindo, enfim, coisas que atestam a falta de cuidado com os detalhes

Má vontade do recepcionista criou transtorno
Fui para montevideo no dia 24/07 a principio até o dia 27/07, como precisava ficar mais um dia, avisei na recepção que ficaria e foi me avisado que não teria problema, chegando para fazer a confirmação tinha trocado o recepcionista, onde me falou que eu teria uma hora para sair do quarto, saí apavorado pois estava com a família e principalmente criança, achei outro hotel, mas só poderia entrar depois das 17 horas, coloquei tudo no carro, e fomos matar tempo ate as 17, quando retornei no hotel para buscar uma carregador de celular que tinha esquecido, tinha mudado o recepcionista, e a menina falou que tinha quarto sobrando, que o rapaz talvez tenha ficado com preguiça de procurar quarto disponível.

Mixup with room details, but the Hotel Manager was able to come up with a fair solution. Marcelo is Awesome. We have stayed here before and plan on coming back in November.

Nice budget hotel in the old city
There was some confusion about our room - our paperwork from hotels.com said we were getting a king bed, but upon arrival we were shown to a superior room with a double. We talked to the desk staff about this and were upgraded to a small king (no other way to describe it). But this room was on only one floor, and as 60-something yr olds, we preferred that to the other room which had a loft bedroom and narrow stairs.

Horrivel, sujo e fedido!
Péssimo! De longe o pior hotel que já fiquei, e nao costumo ficar em lugares chiques. As fotos devem ter sido tiradas em alguma reforma que o hotel fez a muitos anos atrás. A limpeza nao existe, havia urina na tampa da privada, tive que passar alcool e desinfetante em tudo, o quarto que a minha irma ficou no andar acima do meu era pior e fedia esgoto, sem o menor exagero. A localizacao até que é boa, próximo dos pontos turísticos, mas a noite parece um pouco perigoso. Fiquei no hotel, pois eram apenas dois dias e nao estava com a menor paciencia de ter que brigar para que devolvessem meu dinheiro e depois procurar um outro lugar. Mas de maneira alguma recomendo a qualquer pessoa que fique nesse hotel. Importante registrar que os comentários que vi nao retratavam a realidade.

The entrance of hotel was very pretty, red carpet, high ceiling, but my room was a disappointment. The mattress was really old, the springs were visible and uncomfortable. The toilet was broken, we had to manually flush every time. The location on the other hand was fantastic, close to hop on hop off bus, city centre and restaurants.

Ótima opção para conforto, localização e custo.
O hotel está localizado a menos de 1 minuto a pé da Puerta de Ciudadela, ótima localização para todos que querem conhecer os principais pontos turísticos. Por se tratar do centro da cidade é importante ficar atento a noite, pois podem ocorrer furtos, como em qualquer outra localização na américa latina. Sobre as acomodações e serviços, o staff é muito amigável e me ajudou com passeios e transfers para aeroporto. O quarto é grande e muito moderno, somente tive um problema que o banheiro não possuía maçaneta, portanto a porta não fechava totalmente, mas nada que atrapalhou a viagem. Fiquei no 403. Qualidade do Wi-Fi não é das melhores, porém estava viajando a turismo então não havia grande necessidade de uso, porém caso sua opção seja trabalho, recomendo buscar outro hotel ou possuir um roteador em caso de necessidade.

Localização extremamente central, hotel bastante antigo, porém reformado. Bom em comparação a outros hotéis do Uruguay. Cama de boa qualidade e quarto bastante amplo. Muitas janelas por todo o quarto facilitando a entrada de luz. Se vc não consegue dormir com claridade, leve seu tapa olho. Banheiro OK com uma boa ducha. Café da manha de bom custo x benefício, servindo algumas frutas, embutidos e pães sempre quetinhos.

Bom mas poderia ser melhor conservado.
O hotel fica bem no centro histórico da cidade. Sendo assim, durante o dia é bem movimentado e a noite, fica bem vazio, mas não me pareceu perigoso. Há muitos pontos turísticos e bons restaurantes que podem ser acessados a pé. Minha maior crítica ao hotel é que, pelo menos o meu quarto, dava uma certa aparência de sujo, pois o carpete é cheio de manchas, o sofá de tecido dando uma certa aparência de desleixo. Mas em geral, não tenho sérias reclamações. O elevador antigo é um charme!

O Hotel fica em uma região que durante o dia é muito boa, mas à noite assusta um pouco quem não conhece. Logo na entrada, um bêbado maltrapilho veio nos pedir dinheiro. O Hotel fica em um prédio antigo, mas que tem seu charme. Os recepcionistas foram cordiais. O café da manhã foi muito bom, surpreendeu positivamente. Dos três hotéis em que fiquei ao longo da semana, o café do Plaza foi o melhor. O elevador é antigo, assusta ao vermos. Mas, foi seguro. É divertido. O quarto foi espaçoso, tinha uma espécie de mezanino onde ficavam a cama e o banheiro. No geral, gostamos da experiência. Porém, no final, tivemos um problema de pagamento. Fizemos o check out normalmente, estava tudo certo. Porém, no caminho pro aeroporto, quase vinte minutos depois de sairmos, me ligaram dizendo que a diária não estava paga. Nos disseram que havia um problema e não souberam explicar bem, mas teríamos que ou voltar e pagar (impossível, nosso vôo estava próximo), ou dar os dados do cartão de crédito pra debutarem (não é seguro dar seus dados por telefone, certo? E se fosse golpe?) ou pagar ao motorista do shuttle onde estávamos o valor referente à diária. Tivemos que pagar ao motorista, mesmo sem saber se estavam falando a verdade ou se estávamos caindo numa cilada. Foi uma sensação ruim. Impossível não pensar que, naquela circunstância, estávamos sendo enganados. Agora é esperar pela fatura do cartão pra ver se de fato a diária não estava paga. Até lá, fica a desconfiança.

Esta es la segunda vez que vamos al hotel, teníamos un buen recuerdo de la primera por eso quisimos repetir, lamentablemente el hotel, servicio y zona a caído mucho. Se ofrece Cochera, en realidad es a casi 3 cuadras (en la noche es complicado) y por día debimos pagar adicional 15 dólares. Se ofrece desayuno en la habitación, no lo esperen (si y espectacular hace unos años, hasta el diario) La habitación que nos designaron muy pequeña. El trato, de los 4 empleados con los cuales tratamos, podríamos salvar1, no es culpa de los empleados, claramente el hotel cambio de dueño y el servicio no es el mismo. Toallas blancas, ni tanto si ásperas. No pensamos volver, era preferible habernos quedado con el recuerdo
