"The staff at Il Nocchiero are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights in a corner room with wrap around deck which was lovely. The location is perfect for walking to the beach and to restaurants. Breakfast was sumptuous with many options. A big plus was the private parking which made it easy for taking day trips. We had a great experience and would highly recommend!"

"Roomy third floor apartment located near shopping, grocery stores and the beach. The host was easily reached through VRBO or WhatsApp with timely responses. Comfortably safe area to walk around after dark. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. There is a washing machine but clothes need to be hung out on provided drying racks. If traveling to Soverato by bus, follow the directions given by the host as we did not and ended a up walking well out of our way. We would absolutely stay there again."

"The location is perfect for a relaxing each break and Calabria is stunning. The property is above the owners home in beautiful and extensive grounds with views of the beach beyond. There is a lovely terrace area where you can lounge or eat. The beach is literally at the bottom of the garden across the road and is massive, with very few people on it. There are a few lidos dotted along the beach for refreshments. San Sostene itself is quiet with few facilities so a CRA is essential, but nearby Sovrato has more facilities if required. The owners and the housekeeper speak excellent English and couldn’t have been more welcoming."

"First time in Calabria, visiting some native friends of the region. The outside was well kept. We loved the open layout of the inside. Kitchen had all the essentials. The owner of the place Eliano was very responsive to any concern/issue we had. Gave a very detailed list of things/need to knows before check-in and just over all a great guy. If we are ever back in Calabria we will defiantly consider staying here again!"

"My family wanted a week away at the beaches in Calabria. I found the "Piccola Villa" on Vrbo and based on the location and positive reviews I decided to book. I couldn't be happier with the choice I made - the location was absolutely perfect - only steps away from the beautiful beach and several restaurants, and only minutes away from Soverato. I preferred San Sostene as it wasn't as hectic as the more popular Soverato, but as noted, when the kids wanted to head over to Soverato to enjoy the fair or a different beach it was only a short drive. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a beautiful beach vacation. The home owners are also amazing people as well - you will not be disappointed!"

"We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is well located to several beaches and the grounds are very well maintained. The rooms are clean. We did not stay at the hotel, we stayed in one of the rooms(called a suite) within the hotel grounds. Staff at the front desk were polite and check in/out process was quick and easy. Breakfast is average and the service was basic. As it was pouring rain one evening we deciding to try the hotel restaurant. We found the dinner to be a tad expensive and lacking overall quality. The basic Italian dishes were disappointing and were not at the level expected in Italy. The service for dinner was awful, the staff was cold, uninterested and could not be bothered. Seemed as though they were annoyed that guests were arriving for dinner We were not the only guests who noticed this during our stay. I would suggest reviewing/discussing any potential charges such as breakfast/dinner/bar/towel/parking etc once you check in at the front desk to avoid any unexpected fees at check out. "

"Copanello and Villa Aria provided us with the perfect place to explore Calabria. The accommodations were complete, the view and grounds magnificent, and our hosts were very helpful. We couldn't think of a better way to spend a few days in southern Italy!"
