"Driving up I was concerned because you travel through a very residential neighborhood that doesn’t look like it can support a hotel. But then you pull up to a gate and behind it is this fabulous boutique hotel. Maybe only 10 rooms but they are clean, modern and beautiful. It has a nice lounge area and the pool and hot tub are lovely. This was a 10/10 great find! "

"Basic accommodation. Needs a mirror in the room, a little more heating in the rooms during the winter months, terrace wasn't as beautiful as what it shows in the photo. Beds were so comfy and cosy!"

"We booked the last room expecting shared bathrooms and ended up with a large suite with a private bathroom. Not much interaction with staff, but the were friendly, it’s a little far from old town, (15 minute walk) but was quite charming. Located in a residential area. Breakfast was bread, cereal, nada, fruit. The rooms were charming and clean. "

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. Parking was on the street, it was free and within close proximity to the guest house. I definitely recommend a stay."

"Fab 4 day trip. Really loved the freedom of self check in/keypad entry. Stayed on ground floor, Room 1. It was clean and spacious. Found the fridge very handy. On the top floor the pool area was spotless and very private. Would stay again. Highly recommend."

"What an amazing place! Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is exactly as pictured. Staff was amazing. A few tiny gripes: there is no heated pool or jacuzzi, linens are done every 3rd day and only 1 towel per person is supplied. We did not feel misled in any way, but this is not the "typical" American experience. These small inconveniences did little to distract from a wonderful stay. The nearby beach is amazing. "Close to bus station. Our first room was near an area being renovated and it was extremely noisy. Front desk moved us. They were great. Eva Senses has the best breakfast buffet we have every seen. I would stay there just for that !! Don't wait !!! Book a room there."

A wonderful find

"We booked this on a bit of a last minute family trip and it turned out to be a delight. The breakfast and dinner are fantastic, all the staff are very friendly and lots of them made a fuss of our children and kept them smiling. Drinks are reasonably priced, our family room was spacious. We had a partial sea view that we were happy with. Room service did a great job tidying up each day. There’s no bad things I have to say about the place, just wish the weather was better but you can’t have it all. We will definitely come back to Dom Jose. Location is fantastic too!"
