"We’ve just had the most relaxing overnight stay at 13Bees, what a real shame we couldn’t have stayed longer. The setting is magical, just overlooking the river, beautiful house with gorgeous terrace, lovely bedrooms, yummy breakfast. Easy walking distance from eatery’s & shops. "Extremely welcoming hosts; could not have asked for better. First week in large bed-sitting room with separate toilet and separate bathroom, second week in en suite room. The property has a shaded terrace with a large table and chairs; other parts of the garden have more secluded seating. Use of the large guest kitchen was great. It was like a home from home. "Friendly welcome from the owner and shown to a nice family room. Comfy beds and bathroom with really good shower. Lovely breakfast served outside in sun. Kids enjoyed the pool, very clean. All would have been perfect but for the unexpected heatwave which reached about 40 degrees and as there is no air con we initially suffered trying to sleep. Saying this l would definitely go back again, it is so very quirky!"

Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door.
