White Rock Cabin

White Rock Cabin Enjoy the feeling of camping/glamping, while having the comfort of a regular cottage. Sit in the hot tub and enjoy the stars, enjoy a fire in the fire pit. We are on a gravel road that runs along the North Fork of the Tye River, in the middle of the George Washington National Forest. There you can find solitude among native plantings, tall trees, and the porches overlooking mountains and woods. You'll find the kitchen amply provisioned whether you want to grill, smoke or microwave. From our front door you can walk along the trout-stocked river or you can venture out to locals-only hikes, 250 year old operating orchards/berry farms, Crabtree Falls, the Appalachian Trail, and Blue Ridge Parkway. All are within several miles, and it is 30 minutes to the 151 trail of wineries, cideries, and breweries, as well as Wintergreen. The cabin features a hot tub, a fire pit, outdoor shower and has two bedrooms, each with a with queen bed. New for 2023, high speed internet. Note: there is no direct cell phone coverage, there is a house phone, and some cell carriers allow wifi connection for cell phones.

Wonderful Fall Trip
We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is very comfortable and has everything you might need. We loved hearing the sound of the river while we slept with the window open and enjoyed coffee on the deck each morning. The hot tub and outdoor shower were warm enough to enjoy on a cool fall day and very pleasant as the view of the forest, the garden plantings, and the deep toned wind chimes were great. While we had planned to spend part of a day at Crabtree Falls, we decided to just stay around the cabin and walk our dogs along the cabin road as it is a beautiful walk along the river.

Lovely cottage and location
Terrific location and easy to find. Owners very communicative and provide a lot of information for a comfortable stay. Back deck is perfect for peaceful relaxing with lovely perennials and the sound of the river across the road.

Wonderful peaceful cabin
This is a cozy and very well furnished cabin. You can hear the creek babbling nearby. We enjoyed the hot tub at night after hiking Crabtree Falls. We hope to return to this great get away. Tip: I made the mistake of failing to plan in advance to have no cell service, and was unable to access the key code upon our arrival. I had to drive about 15 minutes down the road to find service again to contact the property owner, who was incredibly responsive and accommodating. Be sure in advance to avoid my mistake, ensure VRBO sends you access info and save it where you can access it.

Loved everything about the place. Property and location were perfect. Hot tub, fire, and hiking were highlights. Scott is excellent host, great communication and nice extras that were included by him. Close to Wintergreen ski resort was great too.

A lovely home
This was a fantastic little hidden gem. It’s a nice, quiet place and is perfect if you want to get away from everything. The house was clean and spacious and the hot tub was a nice plus. I would happily stay here again.

Property is nice, great back yard space enjoyed the deck, fire pit, outdoor shower and hot tub. Internet was good just be aware possibility of no cell service, we did not have any. Very close to Crabtree Falls hike. Was perfect for a few nights away.

Beautiful Cabin Getaway
The cabin is exactly as pictured. It’s charming and comfortable, making for a great getaway. Scott provides all the information you would need to make for a great stay. Close to Crabtree Falls, which was a lovely hike and about 30 minutes from Wintergreen. Would absolutely recommend this cabin and location to folks.

Great place to relax and enjoy some quiet.
My wife and I stayed for a few nights with our two dogs. Great property and location. Hiked and visited wineries during the day and relaxed at night. We really enjoyed the kitchen. Wifi was good enough for email and researching trail maps so it was perfect for us. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful mountain get away!
My fiancé and I and our two dogs loved our stay in Scotts cabin! We enjoyed walks down the road along the beautiful river, exploring nearby hikes and food/drink, evenings in the hot tub, and borrowing books to read about the people that have made their lives in the area. We hope to visit again in the future! Scott was an excellent host!

Relaxing Getaway
This property has everything you need to a quiet getaway! The hot tub was perfect along with this quaint cabin nestled in the mountains. We were able to walk along the road and at night windows open to hear the creek running. Several books in the mini library to read but also WiFi and TV for those who still want to stay plugged in. We grilled steaks and sat on the porch and just enjoyed the sounds of nature! I recommend the drive to Gertie’s for breakfast! Great food and friendly people! It’s small but worth it! We will definitely be back to this cabin! We loved our stay!

Perfect getaway
Within 15min we were setlled in drinking wine on the porch listening to the creek across the road. It was amazingly peaceful and the hottub was perfect. Its in the middle of nowhere (witch we loved) so bring you favorite snacks and whatever you want to cook for breakfast. The house was fully loaded and even had some food there already. We would definitely stay again

White rock cabin mountain retreat
We just took a weekend away on our anniversary for peace, & quiet, new hiking & exploring adventures and possibly some fly fishing. Our hike up Crabtree falls was beautiful but challenging for my old knees but we made it to the top & back. The cabin & owner were excellent. The only thing that would of made the trip better would have been more cooperative weather.

Weekend get Away
Perfect! Relaxing, well stocked, with easy to follow instructions. Hot tub! When they say they have eggs and other stuff, believe them. We brought our own, but eggs, milk, rice, pasta, and more are available. Near hiking trails and off road trails.
